Things to know at Jewel

Just a few…

  1. View the November 2013 Jewel coupon policy here.
  2. When you can and cannot use OYNO Catalinas and Register Rewards from other stores at Jewel.
  3. *** Watch your coupons with Jewel registers. On a BOGO sale, they have the tendency to scan in your second coupon at…  ZERO. Their policy has not changed, however, and you can still use two coupons on a BOGO sale; they’ll just have to enter the second one manually. *** See register issues with coupons at Jewel for more on this and other issues.
  4. Jewel no longer requires a store card for sale prices. (You may wish to keep yours for SavingStar and Upromise, however.) If you already turned in your card, here’s a message from SavingStar: “If you have already turned in your card: Please call the store’s customer support desk at 877-932-7948 to request a new Upromise card, which will also work on SavingStar. Once you receive this card in the mail, please be sure to add the new number to your SavingStar account before making any further purchases. You do not need to be a member of Upromise to use this card.”
  5. Important: *** Jewel says they are not fixing the issues with their registers anytime soon, so be aware that coupons will automatically adjust down to the value of an item (even though their policy allows overage), the second coupon you scan on a BOGO sale will just scan in at $0.00 (even though their policy allows two), and when you use a cents of or $ off two items, it will adjust down to the price of one item. Watch the registers; cashiers need to punch all of these in manually for them to credit properly. You may wish to carry a copy of their policy, since training on this varies wildly in stores.

  1. Krystle says

Quick question on the Tressemme deal? The ad pictures both types of Tressemme products (base/premium). Are you able to use 2 x $2.50/1 base 11-17rp, 2 x $2.50/1 premium, and 2 x $2/1 printable from coupons.com from a coupk of weeks back? Since all coupons state limit 2 IDENTICAL coupons? Thanks for the help!

  2. Outlander says

I don’t even know what is Base and what Premium. Are they the same price for this deal? Or is Premium more? Thanks!

  3. says

@Krystle — yes, good catch! They are different coupons so you can use two of each.

@Outlander — the base are the basic black ones that are usually cheaper. The premium are the fancier ones — like if you look at the red one in the back of the jewel picture, it’s keratin smooth. The premium coupon lists the specific varieties on which it is valid, so stick with those.

            • Outlander says

Yes, I just got back, and Premium treatments are 2/$7, but not Premium shampoos, so I bought 3 base shampoos and 3 premium split ends thingies. My $5 discount didn’t come off though, so she entered it manually. And my $20 cat wouldn’t scan either so she had to enter that too.

  4. Krystle says

K just got back from jewel bought 4 premium Tressemme products and 2 base products, paid $2 and some tax for 6 products AND recieved 2 stamps!

  5. Shandelle says

I found 7.5 oz jars of Reese’s marinated quartered artichoke hearts 2/$3 at Jewel in the city a few weeks ago and used 2 of the $.50 printables from All You. They scanned just from what I recall.
