Meat & seafood

  • Bone-in chicken drums, thighs, or split breasts value pack, $.99/lb.
  • Farmland bacon, $4.49. Use $1.00/2 in the 10/6 SS2.
  • There is a fav 4 “four packages for $19.99″ mix/match when you buy four items, no limit. They only show a few things in the ad, but it says over 50 fresh or frozen items tagged in store. Let me know if you spot anything interesting. Best thing in the ad is 32 oz Glenmark frozen Great Grillsby or Turkey burgers. OK, it also says pub burgers 8 oz. I’m assuming it’s not $5.00 for an 8 oz burger, but it doesn’t say what size pack they’re selling as part of fav 4, so check that. Tyson breaded chicken nuggets are included. Boneless skinless chicken breast included, but again no indication as to the size of the package, so who knows?
  • Fresh bone in pork shoulder roast, $1.69/lb.
  • Fresh bone in pork steaks value pack, $1.99/lb.
  • Hebrew National hot dogs, $3.00.

Not food

  • Angel Soft 12 pack double roll or 24 pack regular roll bath tissue or Sparkle 6 ct big or 8 ct mega paper towels, $4.99. Print $1.00/1 Sparkle here. Use $1.00/1 Angel Soft in the 1/5 RP2.
  • 50 oz Arm & Hammer laundry detergent, $1.99.
  • Angel Soft facial tissue, $1.00. Use $1.00/2 in the 12/15 RP (exp. 1/15) or 1/5 RP2 and get it for just $.50.
  • Nature Made vitamins or supplements, select, BOGO identical item only. Check the 1/5 SS and Nature Made Vitamin printables.
  • Essential Everyday 500 sheet paper, $3.50.
  • Arrid or Arm & Hammer deodorant, $1.00.
  • Essential Everyday 4 ct light bulbs, $.88.
  • Herbal Essences hair care, 2/$5.00. Use $2.00/2 in the 12/15 SS.
  • In-ad manufacturer coupon: $5.00/1 Brita pitcher, bottle, or 3 or 5 pack filter. I don’t see a price anywhere in the ad.

Produce

  • Halos or Cuties Clementines 5 lb box, $5.99. Use $.50/1 Halos in the 12/8 SS2. $1.00/1 Wonderful Halos. If your store has Halos, $4.99 for a box isn’t bad.
  • 9 oz package fresh cut watermelon, pineapple, or cantaloupe, $1.00.
  • 5lb Yukon Gold potatoes, $2.99.

Things to know at Jewel

Just a few…

  1. View the November 2013 Jewel coupon policy here.
  2. When you can and cannot use OYNO Catalinas and Register Rewards from other stores at Jewel.
  3. *** Watch your coupons with Jewel registers. On a BOGO sale, they have the tendency to scan in your second coupon at…  ZERO. Their policy has not changed, however, and you can still use two coupons on a BOGO sale; they’ll just have to enter the second one manually. *** See register issues with coupons at Jewel for more on this and other issues.
  4. Jewel no longer requires a store card for sale prices. (You may wish to keep yours for SavingStar and Upromise, however.) If you already turned in your card, here’s a message from SavingStar: “If you have already turned in your card: Please call the store’s customer support desk at 877-932-7948 to request a new Upromise card, which will also work on SavingStar. Once you receive this card in the mail, please be sure to add the new number to your SavingStar account before making any further purchases. You do not need to be a member of Upromise to use this card.”
  5. Important: *** Jewel says they are not fixing the issues with their registers anytime soon, so be aware that coupons will automatically adjust down to the value of an item (even though their policy allows overage), the second coupon you scan on a BOGO sale will just scan in at $0.00 (even though their policy allows two), and when you use a cents of or $ off two items, it will adjust down to the price of one item. Watch the registers; cashiers need to punch all of these in manually for them to credit properly. You may wish to carry a copy of their policy, since training on this varies wildly in stores.

Do you know if they have that coupon for $25 gift card with a new prescription available now? I have a prescription to get filled and would hate to miss out on that. Thanks.

      • Sandy says

You may want to just ask at the pharmacy. I went to get a flu shot at Jewel, and the pharmacy tech said “Are you a Dominick’s customer”? I told her yes, I was, and she said they had a special going right now for Dominick’s customers and that I would get a $25 gift card. My husband got the same deal. So we paid $29.99 for a flu shot, and received a $25 gift card. Maybe that same deal would pertain to prescriptions? Worth asking, for sure!

How do we know what constitutes Campbells Red & White? I was needing Cream of Celery and Cream of Potato and this would be an awesome price w/coupon for those two which practically never go on sale. Thanks in advance.

I don’t know, that’s all it says, and it pictures a couple of the typical ones. You’d have to pop in and check to see what all they are including, unfortunately.

Hello, former Dom customer and lazy couponer here. Is saving star with the hassle (log on, add deals, repeat) and the big brother stalking? I see jewel, Mariano’s, and CVS are included in the program–these are the only stores near me. How quick do you find your savings add up?

    • Kari O. says

It took me over 9 months to accumulate enough to cash out $6. But I don’t do a lot of shopping there since I too visited Dominick’s mostly. Technically Jewel in Antioch was closer but Dominick’s in Fox Lake was far better. Sad.
