Stopped by Jewel today — did two transactions because I wanted to use two of the Kerrygold coupons. Several varieties of Kerrygold are on sale for $3.99, but the store coupon is only good on cheddar. Also note: Kerrygold is found with the fancier cheeses by the deli rather than with the “regular” cheese by the yogurt.

Kerrygold cheddar, $3.99. Used $2.00/1 store coupon.
Paid with a $1.00 Catalina and $1.02. Net cost, $2.02.
Transaction two
Kerrygold cheddar, $3.99. Used $2.00/1 store coupon.
7 Simplait yogurt, $3.50. Used seven $.30/1 printables.
2 Beechnut Fruities pouches, $1.98. Used two $1.00/1 printables that auto-adjusted down to $.99 when scanned. I did not argue about the $.02, because my time is more valuable…
Paid $3.52.
Out of pocket cost: $4.54. Net cost: $5.54.
Saw Smart Balance Omega 3 milk tagged $1.99 til 3/20 “while supplies last.” So with that wording I’m not sure if it’s the South Elmhurst Jewel only, or all stores. Use the $1.50/1 in the 2/10 SS to make it $.49. (Alas, I used all mine already!) This wasn’t short-dated, either — all the ones I saw expired April 5.

No, it’s only the Fat Free Omega 3 cartons that are $1.99. They got a whole pallet in by mistake, so the manager wanted to move them out quickly, hence the deep discount off their normal $3.79 price. I only took 16, so there should be a few left over. Don’t forget that you can return to Jewel with your receipt and $1.50 coupons within 60 days – even if your coupons have since expired – and get your milk down to .49 a half gallon.
