Zaycon Foods just emailed me because we bought bacon at this week’s event — apparently they have LEFTOVER PRODUCTS and reduced prices! I just bought 40 lbs of 93/7 ground beef at $1.99/lb — the trick is I have to pick up tomorrow 12:30-1:30 in Schaumburg.
I just checked the other events –
Bolingbrook — pick up tomorrow 3/2 10-11 AM. Available: Bacon or Ground Beef, $1.99/lb.
Schaumburg — pick up tomorrow 3/2 12:30-1:30 PM. Available: Bacon or Ground Beef, $1.99/lb.
Joliet — pick up tomorrow 3/2 8-9 AM. Available: Bacon or Ground Beef, $1.99/lb.

What’s Zaycon Foods?
Again, if you’re not familiar with Zaycon Foods,
- They sell fresh boneless skinless chicken breast, ground beef, and bacon by the case, as direct from local farmers as possible.
- Pre-order, then head to local pickup locations at the specified date/time to pick up your order.
- They schedule events across the country — they were last in IL in November 2011.

I’m getting a bit aggrivated with Zaycon. First they don’t email me when the beef got rerelased, and my waitlist request was deleted so I had no idea that I wasn’t getting my beef…I just figured it got added to my order since I was on the waiting list and then it was gone.
Now they re-release the leftovers and I still don’t get an email. Not that I could make it to go and get the beef at such a great price because I have to work and the locations are too far away. But still, I should have gotten an email.
I’ve emailed their customer service team and the “oh well, sorry about that” attitutude doesn’t impress me much either.
I was on the waitlist for ground beef and never got notified when it re-opened either, just saw it on their site. Dithered and didn’t buy it. Here I think they only emailed people who did buy, which is weird, because mine said “You are receiving this because you ordered at our recent Schaumburg event.” Is there anyone who can pick it up for you? 93/7 fresh ground beef at $1.99/lb is an awesome deal
I just texted my husband. He works from home but it would be his call to make the drive. yes, it is a great price. Geeze, I have been canning and freezing chicken since Tuesday!
How do you can chicken? Off to rearrange the freezer, lol.
I have a pressure canner so I can low acid foods like veggies and meat. I put up 12 pints (roughly 1 pound each) chunked chicken breasts (plain); then I put up 6 quearts of chicken soup last night. I’ll do more soup tonight, plus make some more freezer meals (I get menus from SavingDinner).
My email said “this email is only going to those who purchased on Monday”. I was also originally on the waitlist for the beef, and didnt get an email stating I was/wasnt getting one. But, I dont really care. I assumed that since I DIDN’T get an email, that I wasn’t getting one.
Plus, I’m happy I didn’t! Now, I got 40lbs for $1.99, not $2.99
Yes, but I did purchase this week. I picked up chicken. And it’s not like stuff goes to my junk folder because I’ve gotten receipts from them, and the notice to pick up my chicken. I just don’t get why I don’t get the other emails.

I ordered the chicken that I got on monday and it is fabulous! I was glad to see the beef. Jumped on that and got a beef and bacon at a great price. Road trip to Joliet tomorrow!

No! you drive up, hand them your order receipt through the window, pop the trunk, they load it in for you, and off you go
Was wondering if anyone else had this problem. I placed an order for bacon at the “left over sale for $1.99/lb but my receipt reflects 1 unit-15 lbs purchased at a $3.98/lb price for a total of $59.70.
That would be charging me a $1/lb MORE instead of a $1/lb LESS.
I do have a call into them, but being on the West coast, they are not open yet.
So, please check your receipts.
