About

Newly renovated in 2012, the Best Western Premier Saratoga Resort Villas are located within 15 minutes of Walt Disney World® and fewer than 10 miles from SeaWorld and Discovery Cove. The hotel’s complimentary shuttle service makes it easy to travel to Walt Disney World theme parks or Lake Buena Vista Factory Outlet Mall, and afterward you can take a relaxing dip in the property’s Mickey Mouse–shaped swimming pool. A handful of recreational facilities near the family-friendly villas includes a basketball court and a playground.

The hotel sits on 18 picturesque acres dotted with two-tier gazebos and waterways stocked with tropical fish. Tree-lined sidewalks connect guest buildings painted in shades of yellow, red, and orange. Inside, you’ll find two-bedroom villas outfitted with full kitchens and contemporary furnishings. For a grocery fee, you can place grocery orders with the hotel three days in advance to ensure that the refrigerator will be stocked with goodies upon your arrival. Living rooms and private waterfront balconies provide plenty of space to unwind, and flat-screen TVs in each bedroom and living room area offer 65 cable channels.

The centerpiece of the resort is a large outdoor swimming pool surrounded by umbrellas, trees, a hot tub, and a furnished lounge area. At the Saratoga Tropical Grill and Bar, you can use your $25 food-and-beverage credit to sample Floribbean-inspired seafood dishes and wash down a crispy bay-shrimp po’ boy with a tropical drink out on the patio.

Make sure to calculate the following when considering the cost: 13% tax and $12 resort fee per day not included

Thanks for that information Sara. On a side note, does anyone know of the best place to buy a 2-day ticket to Universal Studios? We are planning a short vacation to Florida and will have 2 days for Universal where my son wants to see the Harry Potter section.

For cheap tickets, you can try timeshares. But UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES BUY!!! They will keep you there for about five hours and make you feel horrible (they told me I was going to die alone) but you can save about $75. But I repeat – timehares are not a good deal – do not buy!!!!

Be careful about prepaying for hotels, they don’t always have the dates you want. I would suggest Homewood Suites by Hilton. They run about 100-150. It includes a one bedroom, with a pull out sofa in the living room, full kitchen, free hot breakfast and a dinner. The dinner is not the greatest but it comes with a salad bar, soft drinks and beer or wine.

This was from a few years ago, but worth checking out: I went down there with a few friends for a graduation trip and we rented a townhouse (which ended up being upgraded to a house, complete with our own pool!), and each of us only ended up paying about $50 total for 5 nights. I think the townhouse must have cost $150-$175/night, and it was really nice! Try searching for “apartment rentals Orlando/Kissimee” to see what you can find. Great if you have a bigger family, or just don’t like sharing rooms.

We just rented a house for our trip. Sleeps up to 10 ppl 4br 3 ba for $799 for 9 nights which includes tax on vacationrentals.com. We did get a discount because we were willing to switch our dates to fit the availability. And you can buy homeaway insurance that protects you from fraud or situations where the property is foreclosed or overbooked. This is the second time we are going this route and hope it turns out as good as our last experience.
