Who’s Joe John Duran? He’s CEO and founding partner of the United Capital wealth counseling firm, and you may have seen him providing commentary on channels from CNBC to CNN or in publications such as the NYT or Smart Money.

OK, so what’s the book about?

    I think it would be helpful in teaching us how to make good financial decisions. I read about the author’s background and I’m intrigued by the fact that he came from an abusive family yet managed to overcome that adversity to become a success.

    We’ve been struggling for a few years now, husband off work on and off. This past year he hasn’t worked at all, the coming year doesn’t look much better. With insurance costs, aspergers’s child in school, the only recourse is possible retirement. We could really use advice that’s in this book about both retirement and how to live in this changing world.
