dhagerber

I have a great new giveaway for those of you with little ones! Gerber has some newer foods out, Gerber 2nd Foods purees with DHA and antioxidants, and Gerber 8 Grains and Yogurt cereal. What’s the deal with these?

  • Gerber 8 Grains and Yogurt Cereal helps introduce babies to the taste of yogurt — this looks like a useful idea when they’re not quite into yogurt yet but have been eating cereal. What’s in it? According to their site: “8 natural grains (Wheat, Barley, Rye, Corn, Sorghum, Rice, Millet, Oat), real yogurt, and Live and Active Cultures.” No artificial flavors, good source of iron.
  • Gerber DHA & Antioxidant Purees — what I like about these is that they have some new varieties like “apple blackberry.” If you’re feeding baby foods, it’s hard sometimes to introduce new tastes during this period, especially to picky little ones. They also have 18mg DHA per serving (this is what they’re also adding to baby formula lately, for eye and brain development). Plus, since they’re fruits or vegetables, obviously your vitamin C or A.

We weren’t in the baby food stage very long here with Mr. 2, since he came over at 9 months and was Mr. eat-anything-table-food almost immediately. So it’s interesting to take a look every once in a while — you think they can’t come up with anything new in those little jars, but I guess they do!

Giving away

I’m giving away one prize pack including a Gerber teddy bear, recipe tin, Gerber DHA Purees, and Gerber 8 Grains and Yogurt product.
