Look for a single page flyer in the 12/9 Chicago Tribune with that long-awaited $10 off Fannie May coupon! This was in the early edition Tribs we picked up at the Dollar Tree this morning. Move quickly on this one though, guys. $10 off an in store purchase, no minimum purchase required, not valid on discounted items or with other offers, promotions, or discounts, valid through 12/15, one per customer.

Hit or miss — check before you buy.

A couple of you have commented you did not receive these in your paper. If you are buying them at Dollar Tree, check before you buy. You don’t have to open any. In the ones I bought you can see them inside the plastic since the edge of the Fannie May flyer sticks out from the smaller other inserts. See photos above!

I got my papers at the Deal$ in Wheaton, on Main and Geneva. I did a casual check of the coupon inserts to make sure they weren’t busted into. When I got home, I read your post. So glad I got 3 papers!

  2. VB says:

Yay! So glad about this! We are doing secret santa at work the budget is $5. Non -couponers are thinking that this is just going to an exchange of $5 gift cards… I already have Gillette proglide set, shaving cream, Right guard body wash and lotion and so this would be a good addition (I was thinking of making homemade cookies but this will save me some time!)

    • Bridget says:

Wow, VB, your Secret Santa recipient is the luckiest at your work!

      • VB says:

Hehe… and I know people are going to think I went over budget but most was free or MM! Plus the person I am secret Santa for is a really nice guy so I am happy to shop our stash.

  3. Cathy says:

I just used the online code for 4 different purchases- 2 5oz raspberry dark chocolates for 45 cents each, and 2 one pound boxes of trinidads for less than $4 each which includes shipping on each purchase. Let me know if you find any more great deals online :)

  4. melissa says:

got 4 papers at the merrillvile menards, no fanny may in any of them.

  5. Cindy says:

None in Menards in Plainfield either.

  6. DanielleK says:

None in the Fox Lake Menards. :-(

  7. JenniF says:

I got my papers at the dollar tree in Algonquin and the coupons were in there.

  8. Donna K. says:

Bought a couple of papers at Menards in Elgin and the Fannie May Q’s were in both.

  9. Liz says:

Here’s what I see as the best online deals.

Peanut Butter Buttons $5.99 each + tax
Raspberry Dark Chocolates $7.99 each + tax
Trinidads in Reindeer Wrap 1lb $2.99 AC + tax
No Sugar Added Mint Meltaways 1/2 lb $2.99 AC + tax
Fannie May Delights Let it Snow Gift Box- 1 lb. $4.99 AC + tax

    Almond Buttercrunch 10oz $9.99 AC + tax
Peace Love Joy Assorted Chocolates 13oz $9.99 AC + tax
Colonial Gift Tin 12oz $9.99 AC + tax

    • Cindy says:

Trying to find the Trinidads. Anyone??

      • trish says:

It’s a bonus buy. You have to buy something else before it shows up.
And you can not remove the first thing to keep the trinidads or the whole order cancels.
So this morning I put peanut butter buttons and a dark raspberry in my cart, then trinidads offer popped up for $12.99/1#. I removed dk raspberry and paid just under $11 for PB buttons and trinidads to be sent as a surprise to my husbands office. It would cost me just about that amount
in train fare alone to “surprise” him with anything so I thought it was a good deal.

        • Betty says:

What is the item# for the dark raspberry please.
          Thanks

          • Cathy says:

The peanut butter buttons are 94013.
I think the raspberries might be sold out as I can’t search for them anymore. My e-mail isn’t cooperating so idk the numbers for the other things. Good luck!

    • Betty says:

Please include the item numbers when you find items around $10.00. I can’t find most of what you’ve suggested by doing searches. They seem to only want to show items over $24.99.
      Thank you

    • Cyndi says:

I have looked everywhere on the Fannie May website for these items how do I find them??? I see nothing up 25.00.

  10. mariep says:

Didn’t see any in the dozen or so papers I checked at the Crystal Lake Menards. How come Menards didn’t get the love (except in Elgin)?

  11. Jackie says:

Deals in Berwyn had them in both the papers I bought.

  12. Patti says:

Just got my home delivery in New Lenox. No Fannie May coupon.

  13. Sarah says:

2 home delivered papers in Pingree Grove, and no Fannie May coupons.

  14. boce says:

None in home delivery in st charles. UGh!

  15. Karla says:

Anyone find the Fannie May coupon in today’s edition of the tribune? Every store I checked last night was already sold out. Thanks

  16. Jana says:

I got one in my home delivered trib – Homer Glen.

I’m having hit or miss luck with the online code. Does not work for items that are on sale. Did not work for the dark choc raspberries referenced above (they’re not on sale), but does work for the peanut butter buttons.

    • Jana says:

this online code is driving me crazy – I can’t find any rhyme or reason to what it works on – didn’t work on one sale item but did on another. Didn’t take the entire shipping off of one, but did on another. I finally just purchased a 12 pc. champagne truffles for final cost of 62 cents.

  17. Samantha says:

I did place a few orders but am wondering if they will get cancelled -I too got the champagne truffles to work but then tried to order with my husband’s name and it wouldn’t work . . .

  18. rosa says:

not working , i getting 9.99 mints put in code only thakes off shipping??

  19. Kim C says:

I live in North Aurora and get 4 papers home delivery and got 1 in each of mine!

  20. JenniF says:

I was able to place two orders for the dark chocolate raspberries for 50 cents each and 1 box of trinidads for 3.20 last night. We’ll see if they get cancelled. I hope not!

  21. Krystle says:

Anyone have ideas for the in-store coupon? Hoping to grab some stocking stuffers….just in case my online orders are canceled! Fingers are crossed! Will update if I receive shipping confirmation. :)

  22. Krystle says:

Update regarding Fannie May online orders! My sister placed an order around midnight last night for the Trinidad’s. she just received an email that her order has been canceled due to lack of stock! So check your emails everyone.

    • Cathy says:

I placed my order much earlier in the day (closer to noon) and have not received canncellation. Some things are on sale today and are going through at the moment for cheaper than yesterday. I love getting the mailman and office staff gifts for so cheap :)

  23. Karen K says:

We buy the chocolate bars, and lolipops, then a few pieces of the bulk candy to make the total slightly over $10.

  24. Krystle says:

Okay my sis apologizes, she misunderstood her email from Fannie May! So please scratch my previous comment. So sorry! But thank you Karen for the ideas! Heading to the store today!!!

  25. Teanancy says:

Barrington area home delivery: We received $10 off of $20 coupon. No chocolate this year!

  26. Julie B says:

    What is the online code?

  27. JenniF says:

For in store purchases can you use the coupon on sale items? This confused me last year because I thought I couldn’t but they let me use it on the candy bars that were on sale 10/$10. I did two seprate purchases one with non sale items and one with the bars. I want to be better prepared this year. I am in the Huntley/LITH area.

  28. feelgood says:

I haven’t received any cancellation emails from ordering yesterday. But when I sign in to the Fannie May website today and click TRACK ORDER, it says:

No orders found. It may take up to 60 minutes after placing an order to track your order(s).

    That doesn’t sound good! :(

  29. Samantha says:

I went to the FannieMay store this morning and the petite box (small red square box) has an assortment inside and sells for $9.99 -so free -I got one to give as a teacher gift -now I need to go back for a couple more.
Last year I bought the swedish fish and gummy bears (7.99) plus lollipops

  30. Helen says:

For the northwest Indiana people, it’s in the Hammond times not Chicago tribune

  31. Katrina says:

I’m so disappointed about not getting the coupon in any of my papers. Hopefully, they’ll distribute them again this month like they did last year. Fingers crossed.

  32. Jen says:

No coupons from the menards in CL nor the dollar tree in CL
Even my Sunday home delivery didn’t have one( I leave in clake). :(

  33. maggie says:

Don’t forget you can just buy them at Jewel/7-Eleven as well. They are 1.99 instead of 1.00, but it’s still a great deal with the coupons! And these stores still carry them tonight, so try there if you need more coupons… :)

  34. feelgood says:

Ordered online over the weekend using promo code.
Just signed in on the Fannie May website and clicked “Track Order”, then clicked “Order Details”.
    Shows being charged full price.
Anyone else check their order details?

    • Shellie says:

My credit card bill shows pending charges for $1.62/order vs. the $0.62/order I was supposed to be charged. I tried logging in to Fannie May’s website and it won’t let me log in nor track my orders. If the pending charges are finalized as is, I’m planning to do a chargeback and file complaints with my card provider and the BBB for charging in excess of what I authorized them to.

  35. Sharon says:

I just checked in at Fannie May and it looks like my order has disappeared?

  36. feelgood says:

I just checked again, tracking # now posted, being shipped from Ohio via UPS! :)

  37. Brian says:

All 5 of my orders shipped, wish I ordered more!

  38. Jana says:

I have yet to see an order on my account or anything charged to my cards, but I just received half of my order on my doorstep.

  39. Eun says:

Just received an interesting e-mail from FM:
    Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for your recent order(s) with Fannie May. We regret to inform you that due to much greater than expected demand, your gift item is no longer available. Your order(s) listed below have been canceled and you will not be charged for the order.

We truly apologize for any inconvenience. We understand that you have many choices to serve your gifting needs and we continue to strive to deliver the best in both product selection and customer service.

As a token of our appreciation for your continued business, we will be providing you with one $20.00 Savings Pass, valid for 30 days, via email within the next few days. This Savings Pass will be valid on all merchandise and shipping and handling on FannieMay.com.

If you placed multiple orders using promotion code 10012, we are only able to provide one Savings Pass in return, as that promotion code was limited to one per customer.

Don’t know if it matters, but I only used the promo code once (on the champagne truffles).

  1. [...] Looks like this is a random placement once again – some people got it and others did not with no logical reason (too far from the city, etc.). Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope that tomorrow’s edition (and the home delivery ones) all have the coupon.  If you’re buying them at Dollar Tree you can see it peeking out in the packets, so you don’t waste your buck. (thanks MUM). [...]
