So I have 30% off ANY bread or buns on my personalized deals on Just for U, and decide to go buy some gluten-free Udi’s bread.
The 30% did not come off — although the $2.00 off $10 that I told you about yesterday did, and a random $2.00 store e-coupon that I have no idea where it came from showed up. The argument here: the deal is on fresh bread, and Udi’s is frozen. Well, that ain’t what it says: It says any bread, and doesn’t say fresh, even if you hit “see details.” So she gave me back 30% off the bread after the $2.00 “card savings,” which came to $7.01 back after tax. I’m going to email Dominick’s today and complain about discrimination against special diets, just for kicks.
Some of you were asking about what would happen with the mess of e-coupons for the Gevalia. I bought three. The JFU store e-coupon came off one. The JFU manufacturer e-coupon for $1.50 came off another. The JFU manufacturer coupon for $1.00 didn’t come off at all. And I accidentally used three paper manufacturer coupons, because I’d originally planned to get four coffee, changed my mind, but didn’t pull one out of the stack of coupons — the third one beeped but was pushed through. (That was wrong of me. But then I think about all the time I have spent in line at customer service and logging into their laptops. And I don’t feel as bad as I should. Is that bad? Go ahead, yell at me. :-/ )
Plus two cat litter, not pictured. They’re in the garage. They’re heavy!
So here’s what I bought:
5 cans Bush’s cannellini beans, $4.00 after JFU pricing.
3 Gevalia coffee, $15.00 on the $5.00 Friday sale. $2.50 in e-coupons came off, and I used three $1.50/1 paper coupons.
Two Yopa! yogurt, $2.00. Used two $1.00/1 Facebook printables.
5 Udi’s bread, $24.95 See above. Used five $1.00/1 manufacturer blinkies I found at Dominick’s last month. A $2.00 store e-coupon came off. The $2.00 JFU savings for buying $10 Udi’s came off. And I got $7.01 back at customer service for my 30% off (+tax).
Asparagus, $1.31.
Salad, $.99 with deal match. Used $.55/1 from the 3/10 SS.
Two 20-lb Tidy Cats, $10.00 on the $5.00 Friday sale. Used two $1.00/1 from the 1/27 RP.
Got $4.00 off for a $4/$40 personalized JFU deal. Paid $28.27. Will get $3.00 back from Endorse for the coffee, for a net cost of $25.27. That’s kind of like buying the bread and getting everything else for free, if’n I didn’t coupon.
Clearance
The 75% off clearance at the Glen Ellyn Dominick’s is now pretty picked over. The only interesting thing I saw was these Brita- and Pur-compatible pitcher filters for $4.00.

It looks like $1 JFU man q came off your 2nd gevalia coffee.
Nope, that’s the store one. On JFU there is a $1.00 store coupon, a $1.00 mfr coupon, and a $1.50 mfr coupon.
I had the same 3 qs loaded & my jfu $1 manufacturer q also did not come off. I thought I heard somewhere that the higher of the 2 manufacturer qs would come off-not both. I’m debating another round of coffee so maybe ill get to find out! LOL
I had the mystery $2 come off of my Van’s GF crackers as well. Had (3) $1 printables (no longer available, if I’m not mistaken). Shelf price was $3.59. Expected to pay $5.77 net for the three ($10.77, less $2 off $10 and $3 for the MQs). The mystery $2 came off of one box, the $2 off $10 of the other, and three $1 MQs. Net $3.77 for all three, which was great for these.
That is offensive, and I am not GF.
Cheryl,
What is offensive about Van’s Gluten Free Crackers?
aka: Van’s GF
I think she meant it was offensive that the 30% didn’t come off the G-F bread, like it’s not bread
i didnt buy any bread but i spent $64.97 at Dominicks yesterday and I have to go back because I bought six capri suns which 4 rang up $1.50 price match (Jewels)but 2 rang up $3.49 and 3.19 and my ruffles didnt ring up $1.88 either they rang up $2.50. I’m trying really hard to understand their receipts. But I think i did good. This is what I bought.
2 Rold Gold Pretzels $2.00(2)
2 Bags of Ruffles $5.00(2) getting that adjusted
2 Bags of Tostitos $3.76 (2)
6 Capri Suns (getting that adjusted)
16 Bottles of Pop(used the coupon from JFU and the 7-UP 10, Dr. Pepper 10
1 natural cheetos (2.99 i thought that was a good price)
1 Chuck Roast $8.94
1 family pack of pork chops 10.0
1 family pack of thin chops 10.0
used the $1.00 off coupon on those and there was a j30% off sticker on them
1 bag of potatoes 1.50 per bag
2 fresh expres baged salad paid 1.44 for them
4 cans of tuna $.50 each price match jewel
2 oscar meyer bacon price match and online coupon for $1.00 of
had a $5.00 of $20.00 purchase coupon in personalized offers
for the first time i felt like i save at dominicks! Thanks for the great deal updates. oh and 20 cents of gas. my receipt says i had a 60% savings.
Remember, they still do price guarantees. YMMV after the fact, but for those Capri Suns that rang up higher, assuming there was not a quantity limit, should be completely free, not at $1.50 rate. I’d argue the same for the Ruffles.
Unfortunately, my store does not honor the price guarantees. They will give you the difference back, but will not refund the entire amount of the item.
I did the Gevalia $5 Friday
Used JFU ecpn 1.00 only came off once
Used 2 $1.50 MQ IP
$10 – $3 MQ – $1 JFU = $6 or $3 each
My JFU $1 STORE coupon for the coffee said it was a limit of one. And it did only come off once.
What, no ribs? I can’t believe you did not buy them for $4. Are they any good? Should I bother?
We don’t like the Lloyd’s, so I didn’t get them.
Never had the ribs so I will take your word for it:) The Dominick’s I went to was out of them anyway so I guess I don’t have to feel bad that I missed it. Still glad I went I got an absolutely fab deal on the Starbucks Frap 4 packs. As you said they were buy 4 save $4. I had a JFU price of $3.99. I never found the booklet you were talking about but did even better. The 4 pack cartons had a $2/1 peelie (when you buy any bakery item) so the 4 packs ending up costing only .99 each. I was pumped.
4 Frap Mocha 4 packs $25.96-$10.00 (JFU) = $11.96- $4.00(WYB4) -$8.00 in peelies = $3.96. Yahoo! On another note. I did not get the cat for buying 3 $1.99 cards. I think I will just return them as apposed to going through the hassle to request it.
Target in Bourbonnais had none of the unadvertised Unilever $5.00 Gift Card Hot Deals Totally Target was dishing but you can rack up at the one in Matteson. They had a ton of products to choose from that participated and almost everything I looked at had $1/1 man peelies on it. The Men’s Clean & Clear had $2/1 peelies. Deals I seen were Tresemme, Suave, Clear Men’s Shampoo, Makeup clearance (use Target $3/1 Revlon for free stuff especially if you have man coupons as well.) I also bought 6 cans of Friskies plus at an awesome price using 3 Target BOGO’s and 1 Man for .50/6. Here’s the deals I am talking about that I seen on Totally Target. I was able to use more than one Target coupon so my deals were even better that what she stated,YMMV.

The Hallmark deal was $2 instant savings wyb three, not a Catalina. So doublecheck to make sure it didn’t come off and just ask for the $2. Did the $2 JFU coupon come off?
Gosh I agree! I also spend time in customer service line all the time for stuff not coming off.
I wouldn’t feel bad about the 1.00 Q. Think about how in the past you forgot to check the receipt and gone home only to realize some coupon never came off. I’ve seen a couple “grrrs” in your posts on that.
And that comment about “fresh bread.” Wouldn’t that technically be bakery bread only then? I mean, how fresh is the stuff that sits on shelves anyway?
I have 30 percent off bread on my card as well. I bought several loaves of Ezekiel bread a few weeks ago. My local Doms does not carry them so I made a special trip to the Frankfort Doms. The 30 percent did not come off for me, but the attendant at the self scan took it off for me when I asked him about it. Needless to say I haven’t bothered buying anymore Ezekiel bread at Doms. The 30 percent has worked fine on regular types of bread though. I agree that if these aren’t included the coupon details should say so!
Is the Endorse offer an older offer? I just signed up & don’t have it. Or don’t see it. LOL
Endorse offers vary by person. They flip over every Thursday and you can use receipts up to six days old, so I have been holding onto my receipts for a week — if you don’t have it now, see if you have it next Th (but no guarantees of course). Coffee has been showing up for me every other week, lol.
Thanks! Nice that you can use receipts that long-maybe I’ll get it next week.
I have the 30% off bread/buns and it didn’t come off their bakery ‘fresh’ potato rolls. I assumed it was because they were splitting hairs and not letting buns be considered rolls. Who’s to know?
I did, however, get an excellent price on French bread because I had a personalized price of $.99 and it took 30% off the regular price. I ended up paying $.40 per loaf. Woot!
LOL — but I know people have been using it on English muffins, etc. Maybe the “potato” makes it not bread!
Is spinach as a deal for pm from jewel and will the coupon work for it
Don’t know, no one has commented they have tried yet. The spinach IS $.99 at Jewel. Whether it’s included in the DealMatch, who knows?
I don’t use Brita, but reverse osmosis is a great option, especially for people with well water.
Let us know what corporate’s response is on the 30% off the Udis is. I wonder if the 30% off would come off Schar bread products or not (they aren’t frozen).
I will — I have not heard back from them yet. I’m thinking that they entered the bread aisle and the bakery bread, but not anything in frozen. I think Schar is in a separate gluten free section, so it might not have been entered either, but ?
