Dominick’s heads up — Deal Match intermittently coming off Huggies

Well. I tried overnight Pull-Ups this morning — the instant savings came off at Dominick’s but the Deal Match price didn’t work. They told me it’s because I bought Pull-Ups and I needed to buy “diapers,” so I returned them. Now I’ve heard from a couple more of you that you bought diapers and the Deal Match price didn’t come off, so I think, it is busted. So just a heads up if you were planning on doing this deal!

So maybe it is just not working on Pull-Ups? Did anyone else try this today?

I went today at about 11 to the dominicks in Bartlett and it worked. I had both Huggies and Pampers. I did this deal twice. The only problem I had was I needed size 4′s and they didnt have much there.
Oh, and I just left Bartlett Dominick’s around 10:45 AM!
I’ve had a lot of issues with Dominick’s J4U lately as far as things not coming off or it looks like it comes off on the self scan register but the receipt prints differently. And last week I at the one at Sheridan & Foster in the city and had 3 paper coupons that scanned and showed up in parentheses that they had been deducted then they did NOT come off and the receipt printed like I had never even scanned them. And then the service desk tried to argue with me and get out of refunding me the coupons. Which amounted to $2. They finally gave it to me but the clerk was really rude about it. I used to love the J4U program and Dominick’s fantastic price match policy but lately it’s been too flakey and frustrating. Maybe they have upgraded their system or something?
The JFU 8.99 price match came off for me but when I used the coupons it didn’t take the $10 off $40 diaper purchase, I guess b/c I used the coupons. I’ll likely be returning the diapers b/c the servicedesk was of no help and in fact rude.
I did this deal tonight, bought 4 Pampers and 1 Huggies size 4. Used coupons on each one and it still took the $10 off. Total came to $26.95 after all deductions ($0.17 per size 4 diaper). I also submitted to Endorse for the additional savings, hoping that goes through as well! If it does it will have come to $0.14 per diaper! yay! Thanks for posting!
