Things to know at Dominick’s

Just a few things to know:

  1. Dominick’s does not let you use a coupon on the “free” item in a buy one, get one free sale. They also have now decided that they won’t let you use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale to get both items for free.
  2. Many Dominick’s will only let you use one OYNO Catalina per transaction. Most no longer take Catalinas or  Register Rewards from other stores unless they are for a specific item. Their official policy says no.
  3. Sign up for Just for U for additional e-coupons and “personalized savings.” You can no longer use paper coupons with manufacturer JFU e-coupons. Although sometimes they randomly go through.
  4. Just for U common questions and answers here.
  5. Link to whatever the current coupon policy might be, here.
  6. If you shop at Safeway, Vons, Genuardi’s, or another Safeway affiliate, your prices may differ from those shown here, but Catalina deals are 90% the same. Dominick’s in Illinois no longer allows the stacking of manufacturer e-coupons with paper manufacturer coupons, and neither do many Safeways — they’re phasing it out as they roll out Just for U in your area.
  7. Dominick’s, unlike Jewel, gives individual stores tremendous leeway about coupon policies, so you will not see consistency between stores, and not all stores follow the official policy.

As usual, check your personalized prices for BOGOs. I have $1.49 blackberries and for some reason the register took an extra $1.49 off so two packs came out totally free….

Also, I found a tearpad in Jewel for free King’s Hawaiian 12-ct rolls wyb 2 Hormel Natural Choice lunchmeat. At my doubling store, I got the 2 lunchmeat and rolls for $2.98, but otherwise $3.98 so still a great deal outside the alternate universe ;).

  2. Hortencia says

Rachel, this Catalina you have posted for Jewel is also running at Dominick’s.

Buy DiGiorno small pizzas any variety between 3/19/12 and 4/15/12 and save up $4. Buy 3 & get $2….. Buy 4 & get $3…. Buy 5 or more & get $4 on next order.

A deal I’ve seen posted at Dominick’s is Buy 3 Save $3 on your next shopping trip when you purchase any 1 Van de Kamp’s/Mrs. Paul’s ParchmentBake, and 1 Bird’s Eye Voila, and 1 Birds Eye Steam Fresh/C&W variety in a single transaction between 2/26 and 4/19.

Bird’s Eye Voila is a “new” frozen item so we can use the $5 coupon and there is a $1.85 coupon I printed a while back from Coupon Network. It’s priced for $4.99 at my Dominick’s. I also have a printable coupon for Van de Kamp’s from Smart Source that I printed a while back too for $1. Makes for some free frozen food!

  4. Melissa says

The Elmhurst store had Perdue whole chicken roasters for .49 per pound with your card. I got two but they rang up incorrectly – 1.99 per pound. Made almost a 15.00 difference! Check your receipt to make sure you are getting a good deal : )
