Things to know at Dominick’s
Just a few things to know:
- Dominick’s does not let you use a coupon on the “free” item in a buy one, get one free sale. They will not let you use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale to get both items for free.
- Many Dominick’s will only let you use one OYNO Catalina per transaction. Most no longer take Catalinas or Register Rewards from other stores unless they are for a specific item. Their official policy says no.
- Sign up for Just for U for additional e-coupons and “personalized savings.”
- Just for U common questions and answers here.
- Are Dominick’s Just for U e-coupons store or manufacturer?
- Link to the current coupon policy here.
- If you shop at Safeway, Vons, Genuardi’s, or another Safeway affiliate, your prices may differ from those shown here, but Catalina deals are 90% the same.
- You cannot stack paper manufacturer coupons with manufacturer e-coupons on Just for U. Dominick’s does not choose to identify which e-coupons are store and which are manufacturer.
- Dominick’s, unlike Jewel, gives individual stores tremendous leeway about coupon policies, so you will not see consistency between stores, and not all stores follow the official policy.
- Dominick’s has a new Mobil Gas Rewards program. Read more about that here.

No go on the Schick. It shows up as a 4.00 E-MQ on JFU for Tom Thumb here in Dallas.
Bah. Thanks for the heads up — I really hate that they aren’t consistent on these.
Rachel, HELP!!! I have a question about Weekly Flyers. We moved into a new house a few months back and we haven’t been getting the weekly ads in the mail. We got them for the first month or so and then they stopped. Is there someone I can contact to get those coming again. I always thought they were delivered to every household in a given area. Any advice or ideas would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
Are you getting no flyers at all or just not Dominick’s?
The weekly mailed flyers come from RedPlum, so you might try them. Sometimes they do, however, decide to stop distributing in given geographical areas — if your neighbors aren’t getting them either, they just may not be distributing them anymore.
If you subscribe to the Weds. Chicago Tribune, your flyers would come in there instead of the mail.
Or, you can view the ads online.
Sorry, that’s all I’ve got, unless anyone else has ideas!
You can ask your mail carrier, I wasn’t getting mine either, when I asked, he made sure I got them
Also, some areas now get the ads delivered directly by the Tribune and not through the mail. I would call the Tribune and find out what is supposed to be happening and whether it can be addressed. When ours changed, it was very spotty at first. There are still signs up in Caputo’s that tell shoppers to call the Tribune if they aren’t getting the ad. When The Trib didn’t react quickly enough for me, I let Caputo’s know and they bugged the Tribune too, so a smaller store near you might be another to have on your side (they care that the ad is getting to people). I get them every Tuesday now
.
I would post a message on the Tribune Facebook page rather than calling Customer Service. Their CS department is located outside the US and I doubt they would know anything about these mailings.
That is another good option, although I have had my problems resolved by calling. On a few occasions, they had someone come out specifically to drop it off. If we are dealing with an area where the Tribune hand delivers the ads, they absolutely are aware of Local Values, regardless of where the representatives are located. And they should be, because no matter which way it is supposed to arrive, the Tribune gets paid to get this packet in our hands and they are not doing their job for the advertisers if we are not getting it. Last time I called (thankfully months ago), it was even an option in the automated system.
We don’t get them in Antioch either. I rely on this blog or the Sunday paper (which stinks to get mid-sale).

@ Kevin…did you try the Buy 4 deal with the Mott’s Snack/Go? I just got back from Dom’s and realized it didn’t ring up as part of that deal.
Have to go back and return. They weren’t marked at my store for the Buy 4 deal but tried it anyway from reading the blog posts about them being included. Bummed.
for the buy 4 deals—-does it have to be 4 of the same type of item, for example 4 varieties of fruit snacks?
Or can you mix and match stuff, say Belvita with the fruit snacks?
These are generally mix and match.
