Things to know at Dominick’s

Just a few things to know:

  1. Dominick’s does not let you use a coupon on the “free” item in a buy one, get one free sale. They also have now decided that they won’t let you use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale to get both items for free.
  2. Many Dominick’s will only let you use one OYNO Catalina per transaction. Most no longer take Catalinas or  Register Rewards from other stores unless they are for a specific item. Their official policy says no.
  3. Sign up for Just for U for additional e-coupons and “personalized savings.” You can no longer use paper coupons with manufacturer JFU e-coupons. Although sometimes they randomly go through.
  4. Just for U common questions and answers here.
  5. Link to whatever the current coupon policy might be, here.
  6. If you shop at Safeway, Vons, Genuardi’s, or another Safeway affiliate, your prices may differ from those shown here, but Catalina deals are 90% the same. Dominick’s in Illinois no longer allows the stacking of manufacturer e-coupons with paper manufacturer coupons, and neither do many Safeways — they’re phasing it out as they roll out Just for U in your area.
  7. Dominick’s, unlike Jewel, gives individual stores tremendous leeway about coupon policies, so you will not see consistency between stores, and not all stores follow the official policy.

    Hi Rachel,
When the JFU has a limit of 2 does that mean for a card or 1 transaction. Can I do 2 milk and then 2 milk next transaction??

  2. says

It’s usually per transaction. Tomorrow when you go to load it, if it says limit 2, and then under that says “unlimited,” that means two per transaction, unlimited transactions.

  3. says

Good Morning I see the Luceren milk for $1.17 limit 2 and clicked on it ,Wonder how long it takes before you can buy it. Also not seeing 4 pack of icee’s .

  4. says

I got a Cat alert at Dominick’s yesterday: Ore-Ida frozen potato products 19 oz+ 2/20-3/5, buy 2 get $1, buy 3 get $2, buy 4+ get $3. Hopefully we see a good sale and maybe even a coupon to make it a good deal!

  5. Amy says

Besides the awesome milk deal, Lays chips that are $1.88 on J4U are also included in B2G2free deal! $3.76 for 4 bags! (Signs in store have both Lays deals posted on them.)

  6. Inna Kagan says

At Dominicks today, I came across Arm & Hammer Power Packs for laundry with peelies ( mail in refund) making them free up to $9.99!!

  7. BethP says

If you still have the Oct 2011 Fresh Ideas (Tony Tantillo) magazine from Dominicks, there is a $0.50 off any Safeway Farms cut vegetables (exp 4/1/2012). Since I was buying the $0.99 Safeway Farms broccoli slaw anyway, I tried using the coupon, since technically broccoli slaw is cut vegetables. The coupon beeped but the cashier checked with the manager and then came back and pushed it through. So $0.49 broccoli slaw! YMMV though…
