I just wanted to vent for a minute…..I shop at the Downers Grove Dollar Tree and they are so rude when you present coupons. OMG! I was there this weekend and they scrutinized my coupons like it was coming out of their pocket. The cashier first said she couldn’t take it because the coupon was over $1.50. What?? Then another cashier agreed but I asked for a manager and yes she accepted it. If anyone has a coupon friendly Dollar Tree in the area please let me know. Thanks!

I live in Al, and our store doesn’t have alot of inventory BUT, I asked the manager what their policy is,( I was just curious, as to what he would say). He told me, that they really didn’t have one, That they LOVE coupons!.. REALLY!!!, because they get alittle extra money back from them.. AWESUM.

I ran in to the Merrillville, IN Dollar Tree today and was SHOCKED to find Nature Valley MEGA PACK(36 ct.!) Crunchy granola bars! Yes, you read that right 36 bars for $1.00! There’s even a $.50/2 I could have used-they were in the van & I didn’t want someone else to grab them! They don’t expire until 4/13, so I’m not sure why they’re even at $ Tree! Hopefully some of you are able to find these at your stores!

I found Fiber One Chewy bars and Garnier facial moisturizer at my store. I am going back with coupons in hand today. I will look for the 36 pack of granola bars also, thanks!

My store (Bradley) is hit or miss how they handle coupons. Last night they were great but the time before they did not seem pleased. I also hate to slow the line down since they cannot scan coupons, so I try to only use several at a time. If you have more than 2 printables they will split your order but that makes people behind you upset as well.

It’s sporatic what they have in stock, as I found the Super Pretzels this time but they had another off brand the last time. I’m going back today armed and dangerous!

i just got back from the one in tinley park and she wouldnt let me use the $1.50/2 on comet.

  5. Rich says:

I also had a horrible time attempting to use coupons at the Tinley Park Dollar Tree. Each coupon was scrutinized by female cashier. They wouldn’t take one because the picture of the product wasn’t on the coupon. They also wouldn’t take one that was $1 of 2 items. The cashier spoke to the female manager who agreed that they wouldn’t take the coupon. Another female cashier said she was confused on what was accepted. I asked for the policy and they pointed to what was on the manager’s door.

I reviwed the policy and the only thing I could see where they would accept was “management has right to refuse any coupon”; which is pretty broad. I later went on the dollar tree website and voiced my concerns about the brutally frustrating (understatement) experience I had. I never received a response. I agree, the cashiers act as if its coming out of their own pocket.

  6. ellen says:

i sent them an email. we shall see what happens.

  7. carda says:

I also need to send an email…I am so aggervated and your right like its coming out of their pockets and I live in Indiana and these cashiers are rude as helk !!
