Doe! A Deer! In Our Back Yard!

This morning we were riding our bikes on a trail down by the river and a deer looking exactly like this one in your picture ran out several feet from us. We actually saw one ON THE TRAIL a few years ago and it scared us more than we scared it! They are so neat to view. I thought it looked like a young one today but my husband says its a doe and they are smaller and don't have the rack. How cool.

I will vote that there are too many! We just hit one yesterday! Ruined our bumper and scared the crud out of me! Boo to deer! (everyone is fine)

I wonder if there are too many of them around this year? Usually they aren't out in the daytime too much. Last week, we were on North Ave. near Main St. Glen Ellyn about 3PM and there were 3 or 4 of them grazing right next to all the high speed traffic on North Ave. Yikes!

So cute ,hope he didn't eat anything in your garden !
