CVS — Green Bag tags WILL be phased out later this yearPosted at 10:37 pm by rachel in announcements, cvs
This is too bad! Some of you have mentioned that cashiers have warned you that CVS will be phasing out their green bag tag program, and it is unfortunately true. Jill Cataldo received a statement today:
CVS/pharmacy will be phasing out the Green Bag Tag program later in 2013 in order to focus on other environmental initiatives which we believe will have a greater impact on our local communities. Specific information on timing and future plans will be announced at a later date. While the Green Bag Tag is no longer for sale in our stores, current cardholders can continue to use their cards until the official end of the program. We will be contacting customers who are actively using the program with more details in the near future.
So you are no longer able to buy new bag tags in store. If you already have a bag tag, however, keep using it to earn $1.00 ECB on every fourth scan until they officially phase it out.
