What to know at CVS
If you’re new to CVS, ECB stands for “Extra (Care) Bucks.” Here’s what to remember:
- ECB are store coupons and can only be used at CVS. They are also tied to your own CVS card, so if you get an ECB or store coupon that prints out at the price scanner or register, it will only work for your card.
- Always scan your card at their in-store price scanner, because bonus coupons print out there when you do so. Keep scanning until it says no coupons available, because sometimes it prints more than one set.
- Sign up for their ExtraCare emails with your card number and you’ll get a bonus 20% off printable coupon, plus random emailed coupons throughout the year.
- At CVS, % off coupons and $/$$ store coupons can be used before any other coupons.
- ECB always roll, meaning you can use them on any other ECB-generating item and they’ll still generate new ECB.
- Limits listed in the ad are per card.
- View and print the CVS coupon policy here.

I’m finding $1/1 and $2/2 Pledge q’s in April women’s/food magazines. Parenting, Everyday with Rachael Ray, and maybe Cooking Light? I’m sure they’ll be in other mags too, so check your recent issues. It makes for affordable-ish Pledge if you buy 4 for $14, use $4 of q’s, $.50 from Ibotta and get $4 ECB.
Hi Rachel,
So just thought I would mention this – I was at the CVS today – Sunday March 17th, and at the check out the cvs cashier informed me that as of now they will accept expired CVS reward money. She said it was something new CVS just started to do. I love this and had not read anythng regarding this so wanted to share.
do you mind sharing which store that was at?
Pam I was at the CVS on 171st & LaGrange Rd. in Tinley Park.
I’m so new at this so excuse my silly question. Does different regions put out different Smart Sources. I have 12 papers and my ss does not have any coupons for Scott. I also didn’t see any toy coupons. I was so wanting to do the CVS deals and Target.
Different regions do put out different coupons and different values sometimes. But this week there were TWO SmartSource inserts, so be sure you didn’t toss one by accident.
Oh also if you can’t find the toy coupons in your area, a lot of them are also printable: http://www.mashupmom.com/coupons-com-old-school/ pick Hasbro and then Fisher Price at the top.
I got so excited thinking I had to of skipped the other ss but not the case. I just didn’t get it. Aggravated!!! But thank you for your help & your time. I have learned so much from you. I think you have one of the best sights. You make it so easy to shop with coupons!!
Thanks! And sorry you did not get the coupons
. You might check out the coupon trading group on Facebook as well: http://www.mashupmom.com/coupon-trading-facebook-group/
I just received this rebate in a CVS e-mail. Does anyone know if it can be on multiple receipts? It doesn’t seem to specify.

Generally the P&G ones are, but you’re right, this one doesn’t say “receipt(s).” I’d contact P&G.
