What to know at CVS
If you’re new to CVS, ECB stands for “Extra (Care) Bucks.” Here’s what to remember:
- ECB are store coupons and can only be used at CVS. They are also tied to your own CVS card, so if you get an ECB or store coupon that prints out at the price scanner or register, it will only work for your card.
- Always scan your card at their in-store price scanner, because bonus coupons print out there when you do so. Keep scanning until it says no coupons available, because sometimes it prints more than one set.
- Sign up for their ExtraCare emails with your card number and you’ll get a bonus 20% off printable coupon, plus random emailed coupons throughout the year.
- At CVS, % off coupons and $/$$ store coupons can be used before any other coupons.
- Buy yourself a green bag tag for $.99. Attach it to your reusable bag. Every fourth shopping trip that they scan your tag, you get a bonus $1.00 ECB. (Note: you’ll only get the credit for one trip per card per day.)
- ECB always roll, meaning you can use them on any other ECB-generating item and they’ll still generate new ECB.
- Limits listed in the ad are per card.
- View and print the CVS coupon policy here.

On the $10 gift card deal – my endorse came up with 10% off toilet paper. So if you need TP buy 4 Scott for 29.96
– 10% 2.99
– coupons 4.00
– gift card 10.00
$12.97 or 9 cents per regular roll
I don’t have the Gevalia 100% but it says something about sharing deals on facebook, how does that work?
Sorry – limit of $2 on that endorse so 10cent per roll – still a good deal.
On endorse, some of the offers increase the percentage if you share the deal on Facebook. So like my coffee offer was 50% and then I could share on FB to bump that up to 100%.
Also note that Endorse pays on the post-coupon price. At CVS they can’t always tell what coupons attach to what items, but some people have had them count ECB as coupons and reduce the % you get down to not very much. So just a heads up there.

The Scott deal just got better:
Play the scratch n save game, share the coupon on twitter, FB or Pinterest and get $2 off CVS coupon. It’s for 12 pk or larger bath tissue or 6pk towels.
It’s back? It was giving $2.00 before but then the $2.00 ran out — did you get it in your email?
I was sent to a Bricks website and just printed two, no problemo. About 5 minutes before I posted here.
Nice! It must have reset.
I went to my CVS today and picked up 2 Skintimate shaving creams. I used the BOGO and tried to use a $.55/1 coupon and was told I couldn’t. I said I have 2 products and 2 coupons. A manager came over and said the register says exceeded limit and your getting one item free why would you get .55 off the first item. I am new to this and thought I was right but figured I needed proof. The shaving cream was $3.99 and the BOGO was up to $3.00, and if I used the $.55 it shouldn’t exceed the limit. Now after everything it wasn’t that great of a deal anyway.
CVS generally lets you use a cents off coupon with a BOGO. Talk to the manager or call corporate.
Thank You for the quick reply. Well I didn’t get anywhere with the manager so I’ll call corporate.
I wasn’t sure where to post this, but I have a question in regards to the CVS coupon policy? Does anyone know if they accept coupons on already purchased items if I bring back the receipt and coupon? I was there today and didn’t have my coupon with me but bought the item anyway. I’m hoping I can bring the receipt back with it and get my money back. Any insight would be great! (Sorry if this in confusing!)
A lot of stores will — I don’t think it’s officially in their policy either way. So I’d give it a try
Thank you for the quick response!
