Contacting companies

  • A couple of weeks ago, I contacted Food For Life asking about coupons. Yesterday in the mail, I received four $.50/1 coupons and a letter that states: “If you would like more coupons, you can request them one time monthly by using our Contact Us format @ www.foodforloife.com and in the comments section put repeat coupons.” Neato! Their gluten free dairy free egg free brown rice bread runs $3.99 at Trader Joe’s.

I noticed on the Abe’s site that it’s free shipping if your order is over $49. I bought one groupon and got one as a gift, so I’m planning seeing if Mr.2 likes the cake & pancake mix to order more.

Hi Rachel and mashup mom readers
I have a daughter that is GF and am just wondering if anyone has actually tried the GF pastry flour that the woman who wrote the french bread recipe sells. Also how do you manage to find such great GF sites?

    • Connie says

Penny, I haven’t tried that particular one, but its just White Rice Flour, Potato Starch, Sweet Rice Flour, Tapioca Starch, and Xanthan Gum.

I’m pretty adventurous and would just experiment on my own to get the mix right, but its perfectly fine to want to have some commercial mixes in the house!

The baking recipe I’m finding myself most often using is this one http://glutenfree.wordpress.com/my-gf-flour-blend/.
