walmart

Head over and print yourself a $.50/1 Diet Dr. Pepper 12 pack coupon, then share with friends to print a $1.00/1 Diet Dr. Pepper 12 pack coupon.

  • Buy three packs of diet Dr. Pepper in a single transaction at Walmart 3/6-4/10/15, and submit here for a $5.00 Walmart eGift card. Limit three entries per person.
  • This should make for super cheap Dr. Pepper after coupon + rebate!

Note: The last time they ran one of these, they “ran out” before the promo ended but didn’t update their page; they just started denying rebates. I’d do this sooner rather than later and submit your receipt right after buying.

Cash Back / Apps

  • To go with the Checkout 51 Glade rebates this week, Liz comments: “candles, one count oil refills and wax melts are 2/$6, get 2 rr, use 1/1 coupons and money back from checkout 51 making them free”
  • And Liz also found a Beyond Meat burgers stack: $3.00 back from Shopmium, $3.00 back from Ibotta at Target, $2.00 back from BerryCart, and $1.00/1 on Mambo Sprouts. If you’re new to the cash back apps, read more here.
  • Liz follows up on this deal, saying: “my target didn’t have the burgers. The crumbles or chicken was 4.99(my target usually runs higher compared to others). So after coupons and rebates ended up being .50 plus I received a catalina for target next time and if you redeem 2 beyond meat on ibotta you get a $1.00 bonus. Cheap tacos for me tonight!”
  • Also from Liz: “There is also a 1.00 off sambozan on shopmium, and .50 from ibotta if someone knows wher they are on sale at. Lastly don’t forget the jewel B1G1F noosa at jewel with the up to 40% off from shopmium.” The big bottles are $5.99 at Whole Foods this week.
  • A find from peaches: “I was just on Mambo Sprouts, and I noticed that valpak is going to start distributing their coupons in their flyer. There is also a deal on valpak where you can get a $5 Amazon GC, if you make a $2 purchase with your Visa card at any Peet’s Coffee shop. You have to make the purchase, and then go online to enter in your credit card number, so they can verify that you made the purchase, and then you will be emailed the Amazon code.”

CVS

  • Julie comments on the free jellybeans deal: “Heads up to anyone trying this deal, the coupon beeps, so ymmv depending on your store. I’m guessing either the smaller package UPC codes are not included on the coupon’s digital info (despite no size restrictions) or the CVS registers have a problem with the purchase requirement being 3, and only adding up to $1.50 for a $2 coupon. The cashier manually pushed it through for me, one I explained that I got 4 for each coupon to make sure I cover the $2. Probably not going to work for only buying 3 per coupon and trying to use the overage towards something else.” The CVS coupon policy does not allow for overage, so no.

Food 4 Less

  • A find from Larry: “Food for Less in Hammond has boneless skinless chicken breast for $.99lb!!”

LivingSocial

  • A reminder from Connie on the great LivingSocial gluten free expo deal: “LivingSocial has $10 tickets to the Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly Expo May 2-3. That’s 50% off. I had an extra 10% off they offered so my purchase was only $9.”

Magazines

  • From peaches: “Organic Life is $5.99 with the code [use code MASHUPMOM today 3/6 only]. If you purchase a year subscription to Organic Life, you can also get a year subscription to Bon Appetit. for $4.99.”

Menards

  • For those looking for a better method of locating the rebate deals at Menards, tips from Julie: “For Shopper at Menards, my hubby plays the Menards rebate game quite often and while there is no single trick to work for everything, there are a few rules of thumb he generally uses. If the item is a pretty typical Menards type item (hand tools, cabinet hardware, furnace filters, etc.) then they are generally found in the appropriate section, but will usually have a purple shelf tag and the rebate info near their spot. For items that are a bit further off from Menards regular items, like the money making hand towels, washcloths or oven mitts, from the last year or 2, these are typically placed on one of the end caps of the aisles. Food will generally be at the front of the store if you have a smaller Menards, or in the food section if you have a larger Menards, but the exception there is frozen food, these can seem to be places in freezers/coolers anywhere throughout the store (check the entrances, end caps and food sections. Otherwise, its pretty much a crapshoot. Good Luck!”
  • And from Don: “Shopper, seems to me that Menards seems to scatter the F.A.R throughout the store – seemingly to be sure we go into all the departments hoping to sell some items in the meantime”
  • Bankingonit suggests: “I ask a Menard’s employee where the item is. They are ususally very helpful.”
  • And a helpful cheat sheet from Anthony, who says: “The SKU numbers are only indicative of the department in which a given item resides.
Any sku starting with 100-#### belongs to the building materials department
Any sku starting with 200-#### belongs to the hardware department
Any sku starting with 300-#### belongs to the electrical department
Any sku starting with 400-#### belongs to the millwork department
Any sku starting with 500-#### belongs to the paint and wallcoverings department
Any sku starting with 600-#### belongs to the plumbing department
Any sku starting with 700-#### belongs to the floorcoverings department.
Source: Former shipping and receiving employee with Menards…I sorted and delivered incoming merchandise to the various departments.”

Coupons

Jewel

  • On the three day $1.50 salad sale, a reminder from liz: “just an idea, if you belong to fresh express salad swap..Jewel has their bags of salads on sale but I no longer had the January coupons. They would send $1.00/2 coupons as a reward in my emails and I never used them because we have had higher value coupons the last few months. If you haven’t deleted those emails you can still print them. I had an email from last april I just printed an it expires a week after you print it not when you receive it!! type in email from salad swap to search for it.”
  • And a find from liz: “des plaines jewel has citrus pledge wipe packs clearance for 1.20 in the osco section…normally 4.00..had a 50 coupon and get 1.00 back from checkout 51

Mariano’s

  • Something to look for from Silvia: “Minute multi grain medley rice is $2.19 and there are $1 off peelies on the box so today Wednesday, they were .19″

Meijer

  • Lori S. warns on the Goody deal: “Meijer— Goody Elastic Hairbands, the Meijer on Boughton Rd in Bolingbrook had lots of pegs with 2.19 price but not one package to be had. Employee said they had them all on clearance. Packages they do have all range in price from 3.99 and up. Don’t waste your time going there either!”
  • But Meg had a better experience: “Meijer in Algonquin still has lots of Goody Elastics for $2.19. I got ten for $5.70. Most of it was $2.19 and rest more than $3. I have two girls and we go through them like crazy. There was still lots and lots left.”

Target

  • On Valentine’s clearance, Maureen T shares: “I was at the Lombard target today. Food and candy were 50%, cards, etc were 70%.”
  • And TracyS comments: “My target is 50/70 but I didn’t buy anything. If a stuffed animal is holding a bag of candy, that is food and only 50%. In the dollar spot, black star items are 50%off. Got some hello kitty jewelry over there.”
  • And here’s what Julie found on Valentine’s clearance: “I found 25 count goldfish 0.4 oz valentines packs/bags where you can write the names right on the goldfish packs on clearance for $2.49.  This works out to 10 oz. of goldfish overall and the small regular pouches of goldfish are 6.6 oz, and $1.99.  So, for 50 cents more, you get an additional 50% of the regular 6.6 oz package.  And, they are already in individual bags and great for lunches.  They had the cheddar blast and vanilla cupcake flavors.”
  • On the $1.00/1 Cracker Barrel cheese coupon (ZIP 60148), Heather found that there is: “25% off on Target cartwheel too.”
  • A deal from Kari O.: “The Market Pantry fruit snacks are on sale this week for $1.69. While most of them are the 10 count boxes, most stores also marked down their 50 ct boxes for the same price. I used the $1/3 Mobile coupon that expires today and the 5% off Cartwheel. I went yesterday (2/17) and haven’t checked prices today but the DCPI inventory still shows the $1.69 price.”

Reader Requests

  • Jolynn sent some info on making yogurt, “Ive made yogurt a lot,  no special yogurt machine needed.  I heated milk on stove. Mix with a yogurt container and moved to crockpot.  Crock pot goes in warmed oven overnight.  It was too loose for me so I drained in the fridge.  Look up receipes on line for necessary tempertures.   It was too much work for just me. My kids woundnt eat it.   Fun to try.  Go for it!”
  • Donna also has a yogurt recipe, “I also make my own yogurt about every other week.  It is so easy, and I don’t use a yogurt maker. I just heat a gallon of milk to about 180 degrees.  Let it sit on the stove until it cools to about 110 – 115 degrees.  Then you have to mix it with prepared yogurt (just make sure the container says ‘Contains Live and Active Cultures’.  you need those to make yogurt.  Then I have an insulated pack that I set my bowl in and cover with towels and put in a warm spot to sit and culture overnight. In the morning I have yogurt.  I strain some of the whey from the yogurt since I like it more the consistency of Greek Yogurt.”

Staples

  • Lilly found some deals, “Went to Staples in Glen Ellyn to take advantage of the hefty garbage bag deal and found a few clearance items! Puffs softpack tissues are $2 for a 3 count, vanity fair napkins are $4 for 400 count, and Special K protein bars are $4 a box.””

Update on the Try Me Free foot balm rebate at Walgreens

Posts on Mashup Mom may contain affiliate links. Please see disclosure and disclaimer here.

wagsfoot

A couple of you have mentioned the “Try Me Free” rebate stickers found on the Bare Foot foot balm at Walgreens this week. Here’s a photo of what to look for, courtesy of feelgood, who comments on the wording:

Purchase 2/1/14 – 2/28/15
Please delete any coupons, or loyalty rewards programs used in the purchase of this product. To ensure full refund purchase this product in a separate transaction.
Retailer must be printed on the receipt for verification.
Freeman Labs will mail the rebate amount equal to the purchase price, less any coupons.
Not valid in conjunction with any other offers.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they reject any rebate requests with Walgreens receipts this week, since the $3.50 RR promotion is another offer.

Possible $5 gift card wyb Pepperidge Farm Swirl Bread

Posts on Mashup Mom may contain affiliate links. Please see disclosure and disclaimer here.

Target

I was just reading Real Simple magazine and saw an ad: Purchase any Pepperidge Farm swirl bread and you could receive a $5 Target gift card while supplies last 1/5/15 – 2/5/15. I don’t have a ton of luck with “while supplies last” offers since they often don’t seem to last long enough for me to get them, but if you have bought the bread or were planning to buy it anyway, it’s worth a try. Submit your receipt here. There is also a $.50/1 coupon in the 11/9 SS (exp. 1/18).
