Apps

CVS

  • Heads up from Kitty: “Looks like the Edge offer that was limit 2 yesterday is limit 1 today,  Tuesday.”

Dental

  • Don also recommends this place for affordable dental work: “In regards of the Midwestern University Clinics 630-743-4500 in Downers Grove that Christine kindly passed along…. I just got done with extensive dental work and everything said about this incredible place is true. Read her review…. they also have a sliding scale for financial need.”

Jewel

  • Some clearance finds from Lisa: “Jewel Clearance.-$1.00 MM -i just picked up some L’Oreal Infallible Lipsticks on the clearance end cap for $1.99. Used the 08-09 RP (ex Sep 05) L’Oreal Infallible Pro Last 2 Step Lip Color $3.00 /1 coupon. Also picked up some Tazo Camomile K Cups for net .69 a box. They were $2.69 and I used the 07-12 S (ex Oct 12) Tazo Tea K Cups, 10 or 16 ct $2.00 /1. The overage from the lipsticks actually more than paid for the tea so it was a fruitful stop. I actually went there for the free fruit things Rachel wrote about. This was the Bourbonnais store and they do not have any left but just in case your Jewel is clearing the same things bring your coupons with you.”

Mariano’s

  • News from Brandy: “Speaking of Dominick’s, the former location on Naper Blvd./75th street in Naperville is under serious construction (gutted and right side totally demolished!) to get started on the Mariano’s transformation. Can’t freaking wait! Until then, I will continue to ignore and be jealous of the Mariano’s highlights and Wednesday doubles posts. :/”

Meijer

  • Another mPerks freebie from feelgood: “Also check your mPerks for a $5.00 off 5 coupon on Project 7 Birthday Cake Gourmet Gum, redeem thru 8/29. Gum reported to be $0.99 each, so 5 free gum!”
  • And deals from S.T.: “I picked up 2 Melt Organic Spreads at Meijer today going for BOGO Free. I forgot to check for how long but I assume it’s until Wed. It’s $3.99 and they had Original & Honey flavors. I also had a $1 for this product in my Ibotta app. I wish I checked my email before heading out because they emailed me a $2 off coupon and it’s also here: http://www.meltorganic.com/special-offers/. Also, if you’re doing the but 8 & get $8 off Snyder’s of Hanover Pretzel Pieces was included in the deal with the final price of $1.99. There is a $1 Ibotta for Snyder’s as well.” Here’s a coupon for $.55/1 bag Snyder’s of Hanover pretzel pieces.

Reader requests

  • Abby is wondering: “Has anyone had any luck finding a bathroom rug that you can use the $5 off mperk?”
  • Mandy replies to yesterday’s question about personal checks: “I don’t know what is a good price for personal checks because my bank gives them for free, but, I used to buy from Walmart online personal checks and at the time they were the most reasonable to me.”

Rebates

  • Ella asks: “Has anyone received their rebate money from the Bacardi offer a little while back?”
  • And feelgood replies: “Haven’t received mine yet. Everyone I know who sent away for the rebate hasn’t received theirs, either. The December one took forever to arrive also.”

Settlements

Target

  • On the today only IAMS dog food deal, Jacque says: “My Target Wood Dale had additional 2.00 coupons on each bag also! 9.99 5 pounds but some bags had 20% in the bags”
  • Same price for nilo: “9.99 at my store.”

Walgreens

  • A surprise find from Tamara: “I found an unexpected deal on TreSemme tonight at Walgreens. I bought 1 hairspray and 1 heat tamer spray at $4 each. I only had one $1 coupon so I used that. Then I got back a $4 RR! This means that each product ended up being $1.50 each. If you had two coupons to use then they would be $1 each.”

Costco

  • Lynn comments on the new Skinny Cow coupons: “If you REALLY like Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches, they are a pretty good deal at Costco this month – $6.99 for 20 (10 vanilla/10 cookies & cream). Like paying a little over $2 for the 6 packs in the regular grocery store.”

Reader requests

  • Connie asks: “Has anyone seen any Groupon Goods promo codes? We need to order a dog exercise pen and they have a better price than most, but still not great.”
  • A question from peaches: “Does anybody know of any good deals for a membership at the Chicago Botanic Gardens? Are there ever any Groupons for it?”
  • A reply from sportnfood: “I don’t know of any deals on a membership, but check your local library. In Lake County, the Botanic Gardens are part of the Check Out a Museum program. I just picked up one for the Gardens this week and it is good for 50% off the fee for one car load. So it’s only $10 for us to go. The pass is good for 7 days after you pick it up and the library only gets so many for each museum each week. It’s difficult to make plans using these passes, but makes for a good, cheap, last minute day out before the back to school mess next week!”
  • And Karen also suggests: “I have a membership for mortons arboretum and you can use it to get free admission to the botanical gardens. also more gardens. check out their website!”

Rebates

  • Carm answers yesterday’s question about missing Bacardi rebates: “For letsshop regarding the Bacardi rebate: Call 1-800-BACARDi for rebate inquiries. I did not get mine yet, but I mailed mine in at the very end of the deadline.”
  • And Pookie replies: “I just talked to her, I sent one in one May 20th, and she said they have not mailed anything from May 15th onward yet, but they plan to start mailing in the next day or so.”

Eggs

  • On the question of cheap eggs, Becky suggests: “Dollar tree sells a half dozen eggs for 1.00 so buy two and you’re at 2 bucks for a dozen, slightly cheaper than aldi.”
  • But a follow up from BeckyG: “Aldi’s had eggs I saw (and this varies widely from store to store) from $1.89 to $2.29, other stores $1.99, $2.99 and gasp $5.12 (for a podunk store) (but that price was a few weeks ago). Ultra Foods

  • From Jane: “I just went to Ultra today to get the Fiora tp deal and some ice cream and just for kicks checked their price on the Nature Valley granola. It’s $4.29! Regular price, but still. I look at Dollar Tree every time as well because I’d really like to get in on the limit 5 bag deal they have for a couple more days on there. I found it in clearance at Kroger for $1 the time I found some at DT as well. That was so lucky I now see. On another note about Ultra. Did you see the books like Jewels big books they have by the door for month long deals? I got the Centrella ice cream today using that coupon on the front for $1.79 for the square. That is the price of a small cone at Dairy Queen! We tried the light vanilla one and it is good, just like DQ! I made a berry sauce to put over it and it is to die for!”

Purex Crystals ScentSplash rebate + coupon deal

Posts on Mashup Mom may contain affiliate links. Please see disclosure and disclaimer here.

crystals

Here’s a deal for you on Purex Crystals. They now have a new liquid ScentSplash formulation (which is kind of baffling, since then it is… not crystals, but hey). Combine an up to $5.00 rebate with a printable coupon for a nice deal!

Note: The rebate says they’ll refund the price after coupon. Now the way I am thinking, you are buying two and getting the third free with coupon, so you should get back the $2.90 price of one. However, it’s entirely possible they’ll disagree and try to kick it out or prorate the coupon value among all three, so do this one at your own risk. If you just want to try the new ScentSplash, too, you can grab one without coupons and do the rebate TMF deal to check it out.

(Thanks Couponing for 4)
