How many papers? Week of 10/19/14

The week of 10/19/14, we’re expecting one insert: SmartSource. See the full list at Coupon Previews.

  • Use this as a general guide, because coupons and values vary regionally. Sometimes our papers will not include one or more of the coupons listed, or when one area will get one $ amount on their coupons, we will get another.
  • In Chicagoland, the Chicago Tribune has the most coupons in it — even if the Sun-Times, or the DuPage Daily Herald, or the other smaller papers have the same inserts, they’re thinner. (Occasionally, the Sun-Times will contain a coupon not found in the Trib, but overall you’ll find many more in the Trib.) If you are outside Chicagoland, you will want to buy the largest-circulation paper in your area.
  • In IL-Chicagoland, you can pick up the early edition of the Sunday Chicago Tribune on Saturday morning for $1.00 at Menards or Dollar Tree.
  • Be sure to check to make sure that the inserts are in there before purchasing — since they are no longer in plastic bags, they’re falling out, not making it in, or getting swiped.
  • Check out the Mashup Mom Coupon Trading Group on Facebook if you’re looking for different coupons or have some you want to trade.

So, what looks good to me?

  • Frito-Lay Ready To Go Snacks $1/1 item (12/31)
  • Hershey’s $1.50/3 reese’s, kit kat, hershey’s, york, almond joy, mounds, payday, milk duds or whoppers snack size bags 9-22oz (10/31)
  • Huggies $2/1 little snugglers, little movers or overnites diapers (11/15).
  • Mott’s $.75/1 fruit punch rush, wild grape surge or strawberry boom 64oz bottle or 8oz bottles 6pk (12/31).
  • Similasan $3/1 product (12/7). Good for RR deals at Walgreens sometimes.
  • Thomas $.55/1 english muffins dnd (12/31)
  • Twizzlers/Jolly Rancher $1.50/3 snack size bags 9oz+ (10/31).

So, how many?

Zzzzz. I’ll let you know tomorrow if there were any surprises after I buy my ONE.

How many papers? Week of 10/5/14

So, how many?

As always, this is how many I am buying. Your shopping patterns may differ from mine, because your family differs from mine, or you might play the drugstore games more heavily than I do, etc. :)

Probably four this week — there are a good number of coupons I’ll use. Yourself?

How many papers? Week of 9/28/14

The week of 9/28/14, we’re expecting three inserts: One SmartSource, one Red Plum, and one P&G. See the full list at Coupon Previews.

If you play the drugstore game more than I do or are building a stockpile, you may wish to invest in more.

The week of 9/14/14, we’re expecting two inserts: One Red Plum, and one SmartSource. See the full list at Coupon Previews.

Use at Target if you pick up papers on Saturday: Buy two Disney Princess 60 ct gummies at $4.29 each, use one $1.00 coupon from this week and one from the 8/3 RP (coupon says “limit 1,” so use the two different ones), and pay $6.58 with a $5 gift card back for a net cost of $1.58 for both.

Hmm. There are very few food coupons, but some nice drugstore deal coupons. We’d use the Silk, but there’s also a $1.00/1 printable out which makes that less urgent. I might only do two, you?

How many papers? Week of 9/7/14

The week of 9/7/14, we’re expecting four inserts: Two Red Plum, and two SmartSource. See the full list at Coupon Previews.

tena

  • Tena $5/1 product (9/21). Now, I don’t know if there are size restrictions or if this one will be regional, but if you get your papers at Dollar Tree or Menards on Saturday and head right over to Target, this might be a money maker. I took this photo at the Lombard Target — prices may vary by store, but a lot of the Tena was tagged for a $5 gift card when you buy two through 9/6. A $5.00/1 coupon would make them free to begin with, plus the gift card back. I’ll report back tomorrow morning once I have papers in hand.
  • Aunt Jemima $1/2 frozen waffles, pancakes or french toast (10/31). These sometimes go as low as $.88 at Ultra Foods.

How many papers? Week of 8/31/14 — REVISED because I’m clearly insane

The week of 8/31/14, we’re expecting one insert: A P&G. See the full list at Coupon Previews. We are NOT expecting five — please excuse my earlier bout of lunacy where I was looking wishfully at 9/7.

  • Venus $3/1 razor excludes disposables. Use when the singles are on an ECB deal at CVS, although they’ve been getting more expensive.

So, how many?

I like to go with four on a P&G week, but hate the holiday weekends where there is just one insert, so might actually just do two. (Yes. One insert. Sorry again about earlier!)

The week of 8/24/14, we’re expecting two inserts: 1 SmartSource and 1 Red Plum. See the full list at Coupon Previews.

  • Clear $1.50/1 scalp & hair product ets (9/21).
  • Sara Lee $.75/1 frozen sweet goods excluding pies (10/12).
  • TRESemme $2/1 shampoo or conditioner ets (9/21) and TRESemme $2/1 styling product excludes trial and 4.2oz hairspray (9/21). Always good for drugstore deals.

So, how many?

Zzzzzz. Two? But again, everyone’s needs are different, so see if there are coupons you might use that I wouldn’t need.

So, how many?

zzzz I’d tell you but I fell asleep typing this… lol, no, it’s not THAT bad, but small. I’ve heard rumors that there are regional school supplies coupons as well, but they’ll be regional — I’ll report on Saturday in Notes From the Tribune whether we got them here.
