Stopped by Jewel today to try out the tuna and Di Lusso deals — will go back for more Di Lusso toward the end of the sale! :)

What I bought

12 StarKist tuna pouches, $15.00. Used six $.55/2 from the 1/6 RP.
Two 2-lb bags Red Delicious apples, $2.99.
Clearance garlic, $.50.
1/2 lb Di Lusso turkey, $3.79. Used $1.00/1 in the 1/13 SS.
1/2 lb Di Lusso pepperoni, free with turkey purchase. Used $1.00/1 in the 1/13 SS.

Paid $17.37 and got back $5.00 for StarKist for a net cost of $12.37.

Some stuff I saw — this was at the South Elmhurst Jewel

Green Mountain iced coffee K-Cups, clearanced at $3.99 and $4.99. You could use $1.50/2 in the 12/9 SS or $1.50 off 2 here or $1.10/1 here.

Tearpad on the endcap freezer — save $2.00/2 2-liters Dr. Pepper, 7-Up, or RC when you buy one Palermo’s Primo Thin or Hand Tossed Pizza. This week, Palermo’s Primo Thin pizza, $3.99. Print $1.00/2 Palermo’s here.

Plus a couple half-price baby formula deals, including Similac Organic.

Formula and some other clearanced baby products were in an Osco aisle. Green Mountain and some other random clearance on an endcap facing the meat. The garlic I got was in a clearance cart by the milk, which also had a few other spices and a bunch of $.99 clearance turkey brining kits.

Dominicks has the Jewel price for Palermo’s on Deal Match $3.99. I have Dr. Pepper 2-Liters for $.49 on Personlized Pricing. Can I still use the $2.00/2 coupon?

  2. rachel says:

Dominick’s does not allow overage. They may not let you use both a coupon for the Palermos and one for the Dr. Pepper, but it’s Dominick’s, so who knows.

Oh ok. Thx for the quick response.

YES! I’m totally doing the starkist thing. THANK YOU!

At Bartlett Jewel those soda/pizza Qs were hanging on 2L bottles of soda. There were also a bunch of full carts ready to be clearanced. An employee saw me looking at them and said “come back tomorrow, all this will be on clearance in isle 16″. So check your store too.

    Rachel,

Did you have a problem with your second dilusso q? I remember that jewel was having issues with the second q coming off on a BOGO.

Did it go through by itself or did they have to manually put it in?

    Thanks!

    • rachel says:

It scanned in for $1.00, oddly enough. Although this one is a little different — it’s not a straight BOGO like the apples. I was at self-checkout and scanned the salami first, then the turkey — when I scanned the turkey, the $3.79 instant savings came off for the salami. So I think because it first rang up full price and didn’t ring UP at zero, the register didn’t see it as a BOGO but as an instant savings, and the coupon scanned. If that makes sense, lol.

Thanks Rachel! That makes sense! I am going to do this deal today! I am going to do it twice since it is a limit of two! Hope all my q’s go through!
