By now you’ve probably heard the common complaint that couponing only works if you purchase bad-for-you, highly-processed products. While it’s harder to save money shopping organic, it’s not impossible. Here are a few printable organic and natural coupons to help prove the nay-sayers wrong . Baby

• Get $1.00 off 10 Earth’s Best baby food jars. Also, sign up for their newsletter to receive $4.00 in Earth’s Best coupons.
• Seventh Generation product coupons include $2.00 off diapers and $1.00 off dishwashing products.
• Homemade Baby baby food coupon.

Cleaning

• Save $.75 on any Ecover product.
• Seventh Generation product coupons include $2.00 off diapers and $1.00 off dishwashing products.
• $.50 off Green Works cleaners.
• $1.00 off any Bright Green product.
• Simple Green coupon. Also, save $1.00 off Simple Green in the right-hand sidebar (click “see all coupons,” scroll down and check it).

Food

• $1.00 off any Muir Glen product — print here and then print another one here.
• Sign up at Laura’s Lean Beef, get a $1.00 off coupon.
• Wild Harvest organic (find these products at Jewel) — print $1.00 off any and $1.00 off waffles, juice, yogurt.
• $1.00 off any Cascadian Farm product.
• Coleman Natural — take their survey (bottom left), get $5.00 in coupons.
• Save $.75 on any Alexia Foods spicy sweet potato.
• A whole slew of coupons at Mambo Sprouts, including $1.00/2 Wolfgang Puck organic broth and $1.00 off Organic Valley cheese.

Some other general notes on locating organic/natural/allergen-friendly coupons:

• “Simply Organic” spices are BOGO at $2.99 at Jewel this week.
• Also, you can find Mambo Sprouts coupon booklets for organic foods at Whole Foods fairly often.
• Think about using general coupons for organic products, too (e.g.: Gerber baby food coupons work on their organic foods just as well!).
• If a product is available both at places like Whole Foods and at places like Target, Walmart, Jewel (say, Muir Glen tomatoes or Horizon Milk or Cascadian Farms frozen veggies) — don’t pay Whole Foods prices for these. Save your trips there for items you can only get there.
• If you like a product, visit its website (or its parent company’s website). See if they have an online newsletter you can sign up for, since these often contain coupons and promotions. Visit these sites around the first of each month, since they tend to change their printable coupons on a monthly or quarterly basis.
• Drop the company a line about how much you enjoy their products, and include your mailing address — some will mail thank-you coupons.
• For fresh organic meat, check the clearance section of the meat case. At Dominick’s in particular, I’ve seen organic meats with an immediate sell-by date stickered at 30%-50% off — as long as you use or freeze it that day, why not?
