Jewel freezer deal
Every year, Jewel runs a promo where they’ll sell you a freezer for $150 and give you $150 in free frozen food coupons. This year, it’s supposed to start Sunday Feb. 8: Get your Igloo Freezer 5.2 Cubic Foot Chest Freezer – Holds 150 pounds of food.
If you need a freezer, this is an OK deal. If you don’t need a freezer, I’ve seen suggestions to buy it anyway, hold onto the free food coupons, wait for BOGO sales (to get TWO free food items for each coupon), and sell the freezer on Craigslist. Anyone tried this?
(And, if you want to replace an older non-energy-efficient freezer, ComEd will pick it up for free and pay you $25!)
