I personally loved using the bread coupon! Glad to see it’s sticking around for a few more days with a min $10 purchase. I could use a few more loaves! :)

My Jewel (Hickory Hills) just rejected both coupons saying that they had a memo from corporate ONLY allowing the new w/$10 purchase coupon (which of course.. I didn’t have with me).

Why wouldn’t they just wait it out since the other coupons expired TODAY! Frustrating!

I still have a few produce left, but have a full fridge and don’t know what else I would buy since I’ve stuck to the teeny tiny organic area.

I chose not to use any. Being as though they were store coupons that jewel would not be reimbursed for and taking into account the fact that so many abused this deal (my opinion). Just. Because it didn’t say one per customer is not a good enough reason to go overboard. jewel is cutting inventories jobs and hours to save money this. Will only make their financial situation so much worse.

I lost count on both. I put 2 loaves of bread in the freezer today…I had another produce Q and frankly, my fridge is packed w/ enough produce so I gave a couple away at the store today.

I was talking to a Jewel manager today he told me a woman came through the other day and used 18 produce coupons in a row at the self check out.

I like Jen felt wrong using too many coupons … even though they made the “mistake” of not limiting the prints I did not want to take advantage.

    I used 3 Produce and 2 Breads…If I remember correctly!

I had problems with the vote and viewing the results. I’ve done 2 transactions every time I go (which was once a day). It worked out nicely especially with teh blueberries when they were $1.28. I froze my berries. I also got quite a bit of the sourdough loaves and froze those — love all this free stuff! Now… I’m planning my menu so that we can have plenty of meals to utilize all the bread and veggies.

I was out of ink so didn’t print the bread coupon until after it turned into “w/ a $10 purchase”. I LIVE on bread, so I probably would have abused it if I printed it in time :) But I only used 2 instead. I’m eating a loaf of roasted garlic bread with butter for dinner right now!!!! :) I only used 2 produce coupons so I might go back tonight and use 2 more.

I felt guilty printing & using
one of each. I suppose that just because you CAN do something doesn’t mean you SHOULD do something…

I didn’t realize it was unlimited but not that I do I am printing off 20. I don’t feel guilty. Jewel overcharges on most of their items so I look at this as getting the most bang for my buck.

I probably did the bread and produce about 12 times each.I always spent more then the free amount out of guilt I guess ! And yes I feel guilty and I know it was a really wrong thing to do . But being on all the web sites and reading all the deals and how to buy cheap or free and the shoppers bragging about all they got does something to you . I guess the excitement of the shopping in this new way gets to be addicting . And no I don’t think Jewel has so much money that they didn’t get hurt by this . Look what people did to Kmart with the $10 coupon ? I am a old lady and bought 12 ,Can’t even imagine what most of the shoppers bought an the last 10 or more days . Yes shame on us ! I guess maybe this is how the politians start off . Sorry Jewel I really think your store is #1

Where do you get these coupons that you are asking about? I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one.

I would just like to thank my very patient cashier, Cordale, at the shorewood jewel! Who I might add thinks this is awesome :)

  14. amberon 26 Jul 2010 at 10:57 pm

April~ if you signed up for the jewel newsletter they offered a $2.00 off $2.00 minimum purchase for produce.

  15. Feliciaon 26 Jul 2010 at 11:36 pm

I did 4 of each. We don’t eat a lot of bread and I got all the produce I wanted with the 4 coupons I had. Jewel made these coupons available to all customers that registered thier email address. Can you imagine how many people didn’t print the coupons or printed them and didn’t use them? I think doing 18 transactions in one visit it grossly abusing this and give couponers a bad name. However, if you regularly shop a couple days a week and use 1 bread and 1 produce coupon per visit, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.

Good night to the amazing Jewel coupons:(

  17. Deeon 27 Jul 2010 at 1:11 am

From working in a grocery store currently, there have been people abusing the produce and bread coupons. For instance tonight there was more than one customer who used more than 20 of these coupons and all in a separate transactions. Those are the types of people who give other couponers a bad name.

When you buy 2 peaches that are on sale and it’s still over $2 there is problem. They need to lower their produce prices.

18 or 20 transactions in one visit, bigger stones then I will ever have. 2 transactions per cashier was enough for me.

Awesome – Used the coupons for grapes and free bread – Free, Free, Free…

  20. KellyHon 27 Jul 2010 at 8:40 am

When we signed up for the email ‘digital coupons’ we filled out a form with name, card #, etc. and used a code. It didn’t specifically say only one per person. BUT, really, how many times can use sign up for the same thing? I only used the produce coupon once, as I wanted produce more than bread.

i didn’t use any either. i agree with jen and felt like it was a bit taken advantage of. yes, their error, but still….i think this is why things like this will be limited. kind of the same as fav4 barcodes being changed, yourbucks etc etc. IMO there really should be a limit we impose on ourselves in situations like this.
