Reader deals 7/24/10
Here are the deals YOU found recently. Thanks! Share the deals you find with other Mashup Mom readers by emailing me, commenting on the blog, posting to the forum, or posting on the Facebook Wall.
Bacardi
- Eric comments on Facebook: “Bacardi rebate: The Binnies in Schaumburg has them! Some on Bacardi and Casadores but LOTS on/near the Grey Goose.”
CVS
- From Jenny: “At CVS I scanned my card and got a good Coupon $4 off when you buy Diapers AND Wipes. I was already heading in to get the $8.99 deal with $3 ECB and use a $1.50 MFC so also picked up $.99 pack of wipes and effectively got a jumbo pack of Huggies for $2.99″ Scan your own card, you never know what you’ll get!
- From Ruth: “Triaminic was on clearance at my CVS in Rolling Meadows (corner of Plum Grove and Euclid). There were a bunch of types marked way down. May be free after that coupon!” There’s $3.00/2 and $1.00/1 in the 7/25 paper.
Dominick’s
- There’s always room for Jell-O, and Matt found: “The Super Coupon at the Dominick’s takes $1.50 off the Jello (off of the regular price of $3.50). So it’s $2 for a 6 pack of refrigerated pudding or gelatin after super coupon. Use $1 off 2 from the Add Dairy book or $.50 off 1 expired (6/20 SS) and you have $1.50 for a 6-pack of Jello. I believe you could buy 3 puddings for $4.50 and not have to buy any filler items to hit $10 for the super coupon, since the price with the savings card is $3.50 for each.”
Jewel
- Jenny got a Catalina alert: “7/30-8/22 Ice mountain brand .5 Liter 24 packs buy 2 get $2, Buy 3 get $3, Buy 4 or More get $5 cat”
- And Joy got a different Catalina alert: “Buy $10 of the participating cosmetics brands, get $3 oyno between 7/25-8/27. Mix and match Loreal Paris, Revlon, CoverGirl. Fine print: Must meet minimum purchase requirement after all other valid coupon redemptions and customer card discounts. The usual re: tobacco, lottery, dairy etc. One coupon per customer per transaction.”
- Ellen says: “Checked end dates at Jewel today. RoldGold thru 8/15 and Fusions thru 8/1″ in reference to earlier ““Yesterday I noticed the Fisher Fusions are at 1.39, so .39 after any number of $1Qs (smartsource, inserts, etc) Also, the RoldGold pretzels are 2/$4. Our store still has a lot of $1 peelies.”
- From Jenny: “I spotted the ‘fuel for school’ coupon books at Lombard jewel tonight close to the meat counter”
- Feelgood comments: “Went to the Orland Park Jewel today, they have regular, turkey, AND SELECTS PREMIUM “No Nitrates or Nitrites Added” hot dogs for .99 each (in the cooler right next to produce). Got 2 of the Selects and used 2 $1/1 coupons, a .02 MM!” I don’t think they’re that price at all Jewels, but it’s worth a look!
Office Max
- Maggoo32 comments: “Just to clarify on the concern that only businesses or teachers can take advantage of the MaxPerks Membership. UNTRUE. I called customer service at Office Max and it was stated that individuals can join, just sign up under the business version and place your name where it asks for business name. Just signed up online and got my MaxPerks membership number.”
Olay rebate
- Joy spotted: “Target (West Dundee) had a variety of Olay products on an end cap clearance. I’m sorry didn’t really notice which ones.” Use with the $20 rebate wyb $50 of Olay facial cleansers, moisturizers, or treatments.
- Corissa says: “I saw on CW that the Olay rebate is a MM is you’re to buy them at Wal-Mart.” So, I searched this out for you, and tchnabc123 posts over there: “8 Olay Cleanser at $6.27 each = 50.16. use 4- $5 off qs from the P&G booklet = $20 off. use 4- bogo qs from the P&G insert = $25.08 off. pay $5.08. submit for $20 mail in rebate” From the last rebate deal, I think the cleansers are about the same price at Target, so you can check there too. BOGO is actually in the 7/11 SS.
Walmart
- From Mary on Facebook: “Went to WalMart in Batavia with coupons for Pampers wipes $2 off any 60 count or more. They were on Roll Back for $1.97! The coupons were in the Sunday paper a few weeks ago!” 6/6 PG.

Went to Butera for the first time. (Golf & Elmhurst in Des Plaines). Butterball turkey bacon on sale for $1 each- used a .75 off of one and a $1/2 AAAAAND found little sign saying “buy 3 and get $1 oyno” They have the kraft cheese promo going on with the 8oz cheese @ $1.67 which made the trip worth it. No name parmesan for $1.99 and 2 for $1 lasagna noodles rounded it off. Whoop whoop! =^..^=
Which PG insert has the bogo?
Try the 7/11 SS.
I can vouch for the MaxPerks card at Officemax………..they had me fill it out when I turned in ink cartridges and I have been able to use it just fine even though I don’t have a business.
I did the Olay at Target today. The P&G book q’s are for the Regenerist cleanser or moisturizer and I only had 3, so I used a $3 Regenerist from 7/4 PG. And…I can’t count…both the Regenerist cleansing cloths and the daily facial cloths are all $5.99 so buying 8 doesn’t get you to the $50 mark. So I threw a Regnerist foaming cleanser in because it was $8.24. Too bad I didn’t take one of the 8 cloths out of my cart. Duh… ANYWAY…I got:
5 Regenerist cleansing cloths 5.99 each
3 Daily Cleaning cloths 5.99 each
1 Olay Regenerist foaming cleanser 8.24 = 56.16
Used:
three $5 P&G book q’s
one $3 7/4 P&G coupon
four Olay cleansing BOGO 7/11 P&G brought it down to 14.20, tax was $4.77 so after all that I’m up .59 after rebate. I know I *could* take the extra one back, but with all the coupons used, it is hardly worth the debate that would surely ensue at CS.
