Reader deals, 3/9/10

Published by rachel at 10:01 pm under cvs, jewel, reader deals, walgreens, whole foods

Here are the deals that you found over the last 24 hours! :) Please take a moment to share the deals you find with other Mashup Mom readers by emailing me, commenting on the blog, posting to the forum, or posting on the Facebook Wall.

Ace

  • Jen emails: “The GE CFL bulbs were still $1 at my Ace and there was a coupon for those in the 3/7 Tribune.” That’s in the 3/7 SS. Jen also found a $1.00/2 coupon here, if you need more, more, more energy efficient light bulbs!

CVS

  • Kitty found a nice CVS store coupon by the refrigerated drinks: “Free Reese’s Standard size product when you purchase 1 20oz any Coca Cola product.” Also near the pharmacy she found: “a sheet, actually 2 pages, of coupons: CVS Pharmacy Store Coupons/Big Savings! There are  12 coupons;  7 of them are CVS, the other 5 are manufacturer coupons.  Two of the latter 5 says CVS on them, but in the text it says it’s good at other stores that accept coupons.”

Jewel

  • Jen comments: “I found Febreeze flameless luminaries on clearance at Jewel yesterday.  They were originally $11.99, marked down to $6.99 and used a $4 coupon (don’t remember from which insert!), making it $2.99.” The $4.00 coupon was from the 3/7 PG. There’s also a buy one get a free refill in the 2/7 PG.

Menards

  • Ellen says: “The small Glade soy candles are 2.49 at Menards. You can buy up to 6 and submit for a 1.50 rebate (Menards certificate) on each one. I had some printables for $3/2 from coupons.com and was able to use the 2/7 S before it expired. You could also submit the receipt for the SC Johnson B3 get $5 rebate. Since Menards automatically prints a recipt for their rebate, you’d still have the “real” receipt to use for the SCJohnson rebate.”

Walgreens

  • Janet says: “Went to Walgreen’s tonight and they had the Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner on sale for $12.99 and you got $3rr…..SO I still had my $7 off coupon for it which made it out to be $2.99 plus tax!” (The $7.00 is a printable that is no longer available.)
  • Kitty found a coupon by the refrigerated drinks: “Buy one  20 oz Pepsi Max Cease Fire get a free up to 2.875 oz bag of Doritos Burn.”

Whole Foods

  • Michelle emails that Clif Quench sports drinks are on sale for $1.00, and there’s a $1.00/1 in the Whole Deals flier — get it free.

FYI-you can also go the Whole Foods website and print the flyer coupons there if they’re not in the store. http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/coupons/

Jen, I think you got lucky at your Ace Hardware. Tried doing it before and got flat out refused on using the coupons by a manager, tried the ‘you’ll get re-imbursed for the q’ and he still said no. Their loss.

    Marissa,

You’d be a little bit short. The Hunt’s are sale at $1.59 and the oil is $5.49 at sale so I’d say you’re safer with buying 13 cans of Hunt’s bringing you to $20.67 plus the oil, you’re now at $26.16. After preferred pricing, you’ll be down to $15.99 minus whatever coups. Hope that helps:) I’d double check your store sale prices though just to make sure the math is right.

found toothpaste on clearance at CVS- Tom’s of Maine for $.52 and several varieties of Crest for around $.40. moneymakers if you have coupons, but still a great deal if you don’t :)

Care and Marissa — The Hunt’s diced tomatoes at my store rang at $1.85 (it was the Rotel that was $1.59). Check the “sale” price on your scanner — if it’s $1.85, then 11 + the oil will do you.

Melinda — This deal as a whole won’t work, because our sales here start on Thursday. (In IL the ads run Thurs-Wed., in Safeway states the ads run Wed-Tues.) Since the Kellogg’s Catalina ends today, we won’t be able to take advantage of the sale prices there. The fruit snacks and post ones, though, will work! :)

@ CVS today (north and bloomingdale) they had Deep Woods Off on clearance for $1.30 a can, they started with 25%, 15% and 7% deet bottles but now they only have the 15% & 7%. Sure deoderant Mountain Fresh or something like that was on clearance for $1.50, used 3 $1.50 off Q’s and Kiwi products were clearanced for about .86c – $1.30 and used a couple of $1 off Q’s from last week…….

Got 3 bottle of off, 1 polish and 1 mink oil and 3 deo’s for next to nothing plus the standard CRT for the $1 off any cvs paper towel (like we need’m) but bought it for .29c….used up some bucks but for the off alone it was a sweet trip……

Check your local stores for these items..
