Your Bucks — I tried it
I went in my Avenu today and saw I had $2.00 off Stouffer’s family size entrees expiring tonight, so thought I’d get to Jewel while the getting was good and see how it combined with the Your Bucks Catalina. Answer? Nicely! 
- Check your Avenu — Stouffer’s shows up fairly frequently, so if you don’t have it now, you might have it soon.
- Make sure you’re signed up for Your Bucks Catalinas — these can take up to 36 hours to load to your card, so don’t try right away. Also note that they say these are only good at the 3 stores you’ve shopped at most over the last year.
- Right now there’s $3.00 back on Stouffer’s family sized or larger entrees on there.
- I bought meat lasagna, on sale for $7.49. Got $2.00 off for Avenu = $5.49, with tax, $5.62. Paid with $5.00 in Catalinas and $.62 in cash, and got back $3.00 from Your Bucks for a net cost of $2.62.
- For those of you who have been asking in comments — no, I didn’t get a confirmation email that these were activated on my card, just decided to try it.
- At self-checkout, the Catalina printed after I scanned the item and before I paid. So if you’re concerned yours haven’t loaded yet, just try scanning a qualifying item at self-checkout. If the Catalina doesn’t start to print, then you can cancel the order.
In comments, Erin tried eggs ($1.39) and Jewel bread ($.79) and got $1.00 back for each. I’m also seeing Tidy Cats on sale for $5.00, use $1.00/1 from the 2/7 Red Plum, and get $1.50 back — for a net cost of $2.50! Anyone else have good scenarios for these or had success? Comment here!
I registered for the Catalina thing Thursday morning and went to Jewel Friday morning. I didn’t get any items that were specifically listed but I did get a $2.00 OYNO cat right after I scanned my preferred card. It wasn’t for buying any specific product, but just for registering. The cat machine also spit out a catalina alert for Jello cups and one other coupon for Fiber One cottage cheese. I also got a text confirmation yesterday after I registered (using my cell #). HTH! This is fun!!!
Can you only use it once for any item? So, for example, can you only get the $3 Cat once or can you go back and do it multiple times? Does the Stouffer’s offer show up on your Current Offers still?
Deal on cat litter and money maker bread………I’m going to have to try this! The cheapest I found for the Tidy cats was $1.77 for the really small bags at Target so I got them for 77 cents with the $1 coupon.
A friend of mine purchase 2 Stouffers lasana for $1.99 each today,And got a $2.50 cat. Went to another Jewel and did the same using the $2.50 cat and got another $2.50 cat.
I went to Jewel today but I didn’t pay much attention to the Your Bucks because after glancing at the list I didn’t see much that I wanted. BUT I did register my card when you posted about it and today I got $8 in OYNO Cats that said they were “Your Bucks”!!! I was pretty excited but also confused because the only thing I got on the list you have on your site is the Jewel eggs. So in addition to the $1 cat for those, I got a $2 cat and a $5 cat! I wish I knew what they were from because I would certainly share with everyone but I have no clue!! So unless you want me to give you a list of everything I bought (which was a lot) I don’t know how else to determine this!
(Also, I used the Walgreens RR and they worked– thanks again for that tip!!!)
Es — I bet the $5 was the “Spend $50 get $5 OYNO” offer, and some people on CW have said they got $2 just for registering their card. Not everyone got the $2 though, so I don’t know why some got it and others did not.
I tried it this evening and got the $2.50 for the Stouffer’s but not the $1.00 for the bread. Hmm. Oh well, the Stouffer’s were on sale for $1.99 and I had a $1.00 off on two (from a coupon booklet I received in the mail last fall). With the $2.50 back they were 0.25 each!
Es – log back into the your bucks site, then click on “Current Offers” on the top. You’ll be able to see all of the offers & you can recognize what you bought.

I got the eggs and bread today! I had $5 in RR I used. I bought cheese 2 for $5, with $1 off coupon…COP was 29 cents! Then $2 back in Cat!
I plan on stocking up on bread! I was going to get the colgate…but didn’t know what size itw as for. All the colgate was on sale for $2.77 and I had a $1 coupon, but didn’t want to risk getting the wrong size of tooth paste!

I would suggest printing up this list and just keeping it in your coupon holder you take with you to the store. Just an idea.
Great deal on the large family Lasagna! $7.49 less the $2.50 Avenue and my free ibuprofen. Got back $3 for the Stouffer and $1 for the free ibuprofen.

The eggs is fabulous if you have the B0G0 from the good egg project… I’m going to try it tomorrow, but $1.39 for two dozen eggs, and the you get $1 back… fabulous!!!
Dog Treats deal –
Beggin Strips dog treats (6 oz. bags) are $2.99 at Jewel. There is a B1G1F coupon in the 01/31 SS. This should make them 99 cents for 2 bags after the $2 YB cat!
For the record, I couldn’t do this one because my store was out of them. I might try my #2 store tomorrow.
so we get a CAT for each item we buy in a single trans.? I have a list that includes 5 CAT items just making sure I will get cats for all of them?!?! I scored a 5/$50 the other day and am wanting to get enough “free” stuff to get to $50
Lisa — that’s what it’s looking like! But only one of each — so two eggs in one transaction for instance will only get you one cat.
Rachel – So you can only do one per transaction, but for an unlimited number of transactions?
went to jewel got cat litter and got a cat for $1.50. decided to do it today since i found another coupon for a $1 off tidy cat litter but did not get the cat today. Has anyone else had the problem?
I did not try yesterday, but I got my cats for bread, eggs, and ibuprofen this morning.
I registed thursday morning and tried to get wheat bread today and didn’t cat the cat. I think I waited long enough. I used a card I recently got and used that card to purchase the freezer and used it at the same store I bought the freezer. I would think that would be one of my 3 stores. I emailed You Bucks them to see if they could help out.
Krista — it looks like people are having problems with the wheat bread from reading here and on CW, but the white bread is working. Curious what they’ll have to say — might also bring the printout to the store just in case and maybe CS can help if it happens again.
1.) Anyone know if the $5 for spending $50 is pre or post coupon?
2.) Can you only get one Your Bucks Cat per item per transaction, but for an unlimited number of transactions? Meaning…If I buy 3 white bread, I’ll still only get 1 $1 Cat? But if I do 3 seperate transactions, I’ll get 3 $1 Cats?
3.) It’s only 1 YB Cat per item per day?

I can’t confirm this, but it looks like (from others’ experiences) that it must be $50 after coupons for the $5 cat to print.
I bought the bread, eggs, ibuprofin and All and didn’t get any Your Bucks. I am sure the catalina machine was working. and the 36 hours has passed for the activation. I didn’t ask about it at the customer service desk which I should have but I emailed Catalina. We’ll see what they say about it. If not, I’m not out of pocket much, I just am leery to try it again.
Nikki — if you try it again, use self-checkout, because the Catalinas are printing when you scan the item. So you can see right then, and if not, cancel the order.
It worked for me. I received a $1 your bucks after I purchased the Ibuprofin.
Thanks, I went today and got just a loaf of bread to test my card…it worked, I got $1 for bread and a $2 (maybe the bonus for activating)
Then I went ahead and shopped

I maybe missing something but my total after Q’s was $22.34. I used $22 in wags RR (oops, went into tax but they overrode) paid .34 OOP and got back $11 YB

$2 all, beggin strips (which ended up a small MM, and must have given me yet another $2 bonus)
Now I want to go back again today to see if I can draw another bonus
Meanwhile I got home and realised 2 of the cheese were expired! *sigh* back to jewel I went w/ them for an exchange!

I tried it tonight. Did not print anything… should have gotten 13.50. I did get a text saying they were active as of today.
Only thing I can think of is that is a new preferred card (from last week)? I talked to customer service and showed them the text on my phone, but she knew nothing about it. She left a message for the catalina person, and I emailed yourbucks tonight. Hoping they will honor it and send the catalinas (as I wouldn’t have bought a lot of the items!).
