Four companies a day, day 10
Welcome back to the four companies a day experiment, where I’m writing four companies a day, complimenting their products, and seeing what happens. (Often: coupons in the mail!) The plan here is to post regular updates about the companies I contact and the responses I receive. You can see all of the companies I’ve contacted and get updates in the “fouraday” category here.
Who am I writing today?
- Ziploc. Because bags are on my mind given the Catalina deal at Ultra/Jewel.
- Skinny Cow. Cause their ice cream sandwiches are all right and help me stick to reasonable portions.
- Ro*tel. Even though I didn’t have much luck contacting ConAgra about Orville Redenbacher, hope springs eternal!
- Old El Paso. Because Ro*tel made me think about chiles.
Updates
I’m going to stop listing email updates unless they’re particularly interesting, because most of them are just generic thanks. Received in the mail today:
- Two $.55/1 Fresh Express salad coupons.
- Stacy’s pita chips — one coupon for a free bag and three $.55/1.
- Pace (Campbell’s) — A coupon to “save up to $3.00 on any of these Campbell’s products” including swanson, pace, prego, pepperidge farm, V8, or Campbell’s.
Huh, that was a pretty good mail day!

I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE that you are doing this…I’ve read about similar “campaigns” on other blogs. The other day I decided to email Pace b/c DH LOVES their salsa and it is very rare that I find a Q (of course one came in the paper right after I sent the email, LOL!) Here is the response I got today
