0 degree Walgreens and Ultra shopping

No one wants to hear about 0 degrees with -20 windchill. Why do I listen to the news? But anyway, stopped at Walgreens and Ultra this morning. At Walgreens I spent $2.89 OOP on two transactions, used $27.00 RR, got back $40.00 RR, and will send in for $16.99 in rebates. At Ultra, I spent $.08 (in tax).
Walgreens
Transaction one
5 Nabisco crackers, $10.00. Used $1.00/2 from Walgreens Diabetes & You booklet (took off $2.00). Used $3.00/4 tearpad I found at Jewel. Used $1.00/1 from 11/8 SS.
2 Triaminic, $10.00. Used two $2.00/1 from 12/6 SS and $2.00/each from Healthy Savings booklet.
Mead envelopes, $.59 with in-ad coupon.
Neutrogena men’s face lotion, $4.99. Used $2.00/1 from Dec. AY.
Scunci headband things, $2.00.
2 string cheese, $1.00.
Paid with $12.00 RR (three $4.00 from Natrol acai) and $1.58 in cash. Got back $20.00 RR ($5.00 bonus for spending over $25.00, $5.00 Triaminic, $5.00 Neutrogena, $3.00 Nabisco, $2.00 Scunci). Up $6.42 this transaction.
Transaction two
Just for men, $6.99. Used $2.00/1 printable.
5 Nabisco crackers, $10.00. Used $1.00/2 from Walgreens Diabetes & You booklet (took off $2.00). Used $3.00/4 tearpad I found at Jewel.
4 holiday pencils, $1.00.
1 holiday tumbler, $.29.
2 Triaminic, $10.00. Used two $2.00/1 from 12/6 SS and $2.00/each from Healthy Savings booklet.
Used $13.00 in RR ($5.00 from Neutrogena, $2.00 from Scunci, and three $2.00 from Diet Coke). Paid with $1.31 in cash. Got back $20.00 RR ($5.00 bonus for spending over $25.00, $3.00 Nabisco, $7.00 Just for Men, $5.00 Triaminic). Up $5.69 this transaction.
I had them generate a duplicate receipt so that I can now send in for both the Just for Men rebate (I’ll get $6.99, minus my stamp) and Put the Jingle in Your Holidays rebate (I’ll get $10.00, minus stamp). So that’ll be another $16.00-ish bonus! 
Ultra
Bought 5 Asian Sensations, $.88 each. Used five $1.00/1 from 7/19 and 9/13 SS, which they adjusted down to $.88 each. (Ultra is fanatical about not giving overage — I even used self-checkout and the clerk came running over to check my coupons.) Paid $.08 in tax. There were $.75/1 coupons on 3 of the boxes, so might go pick up a couple more if these are any good. Some people are reporting finding $1.00/1 tearpads at Jewel, but these I have not seen — anyone?

is that always the price for the Asian Sensations at Ultra or were they on clearance? what a great deal! i LOVE those things!!!

. I just ate some for lunch (yes, it’s 11:15, but I was up early) and they’re pretty good!
I found the coupons at Jewel. They aren’t really a tear-pad. They came out of a weird dispenser on the freezer door right in front of the product. Not a blinkie machine, some kind of like pop up dispenser I’ve never seen before.
I need to check another Wags for the hair stuff. Mine only had some jeweled bobby pins marked for the RR, and no brushes marked.
Would you mind provided the UPC on the Scunci headbands? My store does not have any of the 4-day sale tages up and that is something I wouldn’t mind getting. Thanks.
Danielle — it was the multicolored skinny ones. 043194585175. This was the only item tagged at my store, so I grabbed it.
At my store there was a 6-pack adn 8-pack of the same type of headbands… make sure you get ther right one… only the 8-pack is part of the deal! more for us!
I bought a 2 pack of Conair brushes and a Neutrogena item today and used the $5 RR I got from the Triaminic deal…that’s the only coupon I used. For some reason only the Neutrogena $5 RR printed out and not the $2 for the brushes. I can’t figure out why it didn’t print. I ended up just returning the brushes and figured I would buy them at a different Walgreens since I bought the same 2 pack at another store and the $2 RR printed just fine. Would the Triaminic RR be linked to Conair somehow?
How recently did you find the $3/4 @ Jewel and where? Please and thank you.
They shouldn’t be — Triaminic is Novartis. Maybe the 2-pack at store two had a different UPC code? (Sometimes if they change packaging the new UPCs don’t get entered.) You could also have asked at the time — sometimes they’ll scan something else to generate the RR for you or I’ve had them just give me cash when they can’t figure it out (depends on store).
Ginger — I found it at the Lisle Jewel almost 2 weeks ago — it was a tearpad on a beer display on an endcap, and had two coupons — this one and then one about budweiser? I forget the brand, because I don’t buy beer so threw the other half away, sorry.
For some reason the only times I’ve ever had issues with RR not printing out is at this one specific store. It’s really weird. I always end up talking to the same manager and he will say to me “well, you used a RR to buy these items so that’s why it didn’t print out”. To that I tell him how it shouldn’t matter since I wasn’t trying to buy the same item and that they are printing just fine at other Walgreens stores. I think I might just stick to the other stores for a while. Rachel, thank you for always sharing your deal scenarios!
