I have a question regarding limits. When they say a limit of 2 (like on the Ragu) is that 2 per day or 2 per the sale or 2 per Jewel card. Can someone explain that please?
    Thanks

This may be a double post from another time but felt it was worth mentioning.
I live in Northwest Indiana. I checked with 2 Strack and VanTil (Part of Ultra Banner)stores today. YMMV but was informed by one store they were just told to take Walgreen’s catelina’s. A memo was posted to all cashiers. At the next store I really got brave and asked if they would accept Walgreen’s and JEWEL register rewards. After discussing with the store manager, he agreed that they are manufacturer coupons and Yes, they would accept both. This should be the same for Ultra.
I asked for a copy of the memo but could not get it. Was told to just ask for a manager or CSM if it became a problem.
If I need to use up cat’s, and cannot roll, I would much rather shop at Ultra/Strack’s for sale prices!

Yesterday I bought 6 boxes of Chex cereal at Jewel (we have two gluten-free people in the house, so we love Chex cereals!). With my three $1.00 off on two, they were just $1.00 a box. I got a coupon for up to $3.50 off my next purchase of refrigerated orange juice. I’m assuming it was from the cereal, as the coupon read Thank You from General Mills. Today I used it on a 1.75 ltr of Pure Orange. Yum! I saw the cereals are still on sale, but don’t know how long the coupons will be printing.

I’m ready for a new deal. I did a few this time but am looking for something different. Getting tired of soup, oil, cereal, etc. Snagged 11 cans of chicken corn chowder (bleh!) for a craft fair this weekend where I’m on the hook to bring soup.

Debbie, if this is true about Stracks and Ultra I am one happy woman!!!! I also live in NWI and actually live 30 min from the closest Jewel(it’s close to work though) and would LOVE to use up catalinas at Stracks which is 2min from my house! Their sale prices are also MUCH better.

Lisa T — Get this: It’s limit per variety, per visit. So for instance, I forget what Ragu calls its flavors, but let’s pretend: You could get 2 mushroom, 2 basil, 2 veggie… Try it at the self-checkout if you’re nervous, but as long as you get different flavors you should be good.

debbie — Thanks for the heads up! I haven’t tried RR at Ultra yet, but WILL. :)

Christy — neat! let me investigate that… :)

Rachel- Thanks for the response. That is what I needed to know. At 88 cents I need to stock up. We love Ragu!

Debbie..I also live in NWI and was wondering if TOwn and COuntry Market would also take the cats. I believe they are part of teh Straks family. Oh..if only this was true. They take Coupons that have expired up to a month after and if they did this I wouldn’t have to treak the 20 minutes to Jewel all the time…just to get the Cats!!!!

    Cindy

You are absolutely right. Strack/Ultra and Town and Country are all part of the same family. I happen to call on Strack/Ultra as a sales rep. I had read on another blog somewhere that Ultra was taking Walgreens cats. Spiked my interest so I decided to ask at Strack. I went right to the CSM and then to the store manager to ask the questions as I have know him for a few years. Sorry-I no longer call on Town & Country.
I do know the Strack in Merrillville copied my register rewards from both Walgreens and Jewel to post for the cashiers. I would suggest asking at your store. Was told by the CSM that there was a memo sent out/they posted it for cashiers/but could not gaurantee that all had read it. Start with the CMS first!

Christy, which flavors did you buy? my husband when in and bought some of the honey & cinnamon flavors (6 boxes total) and NO Orange Juice coupon. I should have handed him the ad with the $1.50 varieties…the shelf tag led him astray!

  12. stephanieon 18 Nov 2009 at 9:53 pm

Cindy…please let us know if T&C takes these. I also never knew they took them expired. Is that in their coupon policy? I dont have a copy of their policy. New to the area and notice there is only T&C and wiseway in town and jewel 20 min away. If no hear back I will try and find out and post on here next time I go, should be shortly after thanksgiving. Thanks
