Mystery Catalina revealed — JEWEL
OK! Remember the mystery Breyer’s Catalina? Mystery revealed — thanks, huge thanks, to Couponers Wanted. Not only did they clear up the mystery, they got a list of participating products from corporate, which is available in this lovely Google Docs spreadsheet (with props to Tracey at Couponers Wanted).
Here’s the deal: This is a GM, Kimberly-Clark, Unilever Catalina deal running 10/31-11/11.
- Spend $30-59.99, get $15.00 oyno.
- Spend $60-89.99, get $30.00 OYNO.
- Spend $90+, get $45.00 OYNO.
So… it stacks up to three times! And, as is usual at Jewel, it’s working off of the “ring” price — that’s the “sale,” pre-preferred card price. NOT the shelf price, for those of you who are newer to this. If you scan an item at your in-store price scanner, you’ll see three prices displayed. You want to work off the middle one, the “sale” price, to get to up to your $30 (or $60, or $90!). More info int this “how Catalinas work at Jewel” post.
There’s a HUGE list of participating products here, some of which are currently on sale and some not yet. My guess is that this will be advertised in Thursday’s ad and some prices will change then, because it goes through next Wed. and that’s the only full week of the deal.
I have to run and pick up Mr. 7 from school in about 2 minutes, but wanted to give you the heads up right away. I might drag them to Jewel and scope out a scenario or two, depending on what mood everyone’s in. And if the rest of you figure out any particularly nice scenarios, please comment and share them here!

barb — Sorry, I don’t know. Jewel is now SuperValu so some of the deals are the same and some aren’t, and those that are the same sometimes run a week or so apart.
I am trying to figure this all out still new and still very excited over knowing what the term catalina means. SOOO….. exactly how many 1.99 paper towels do I need to purchase and when I purchase them do I need to purchase chicken broth too. Please help
