If you’re new to Restaurant.com, these are gift certificates you print out and use at the restaurant. To enter the code, add a certificate to your cart, then view your cart. In the top right is a box where you can put in the code. As always with these, read the fine print, because they work much more like coupons than gift certificates. There are generally restrictions like: minimum purchase required, sometimes not good on all days, not good on alcohol, etc., so they’re not really true gift certificates. As some of you have noted, many of these automatically add a gratuity. On those that do not, please remember to tip on what you would have paid pre-coupon.

Don’t worry about tipping enough. Most if not all of these have a 18 percent forced gratuity on the full amount, pre-coupon.
Used one yesterday for the first time in about 4 years, I had forgotten about that.
My husband forgets every time and I have to remind him NOT to write in anything else because he’ll throw on another 15% or more not realizing. YIKES!

I have been trying for half an hour to get some certificates. When it says proceed to checkout it stalls, Anyone else have problems?
Ok…this is the first time I’ve ever seen a discount for Ad-Lib in libertyville. I’ve been super curious about it because of the really interesting menus (you never know what they will be serving until that very day! The post the day’s menu on their FB page, all local product and meat from local farms too. Anyhow, it’s really not a cheap place to eat, but I was wondering if anyone here has ever been there and what their opinons are.
I’ve never used this site before and I didn’t see a box in the top right in my card where I could enter the code. Does that mean that the restaurant I chose is not eligible for this promo code? Thanks!
As far as I know they should all be eligible. This was a yesterday-only code though so maybe that is why?
I was doing it at 11:15 to 11:30 p.m. or so Pacific Time and it let me enter it when I tried to get a different one and then it said that no discount was applied because that gift certificate was not eligible. So then I tried again choosing a different restaurant and there was no place to put any sort of code. I’m pretty sure I did something wrong, but I am not sure what. I guess I’ll wait until the next deal and try again then.
I was surprised at the low number of participating restaurants in my area, so I wasn’t overly excited about the deal.
