Hey! I’ve been sitting on this news all afternoon waiting for it to go live, and am very pleased to share that:
- You can now print Jewel twice the value coupons from Facebook! That is the direct link, and here is the link to their FB announcement.
These print three to a page, limit two prints per computer, so you can print six from your computer. Like the originals in the papers and in store, these are only good in stores through tomorrow 2/1, and have the same restrictions. Use each twice the value coupon to double the value of one manufacturer coupon with a face value of up to $1.00 — so a $1.00 manufacturer coupon doubles to $2.00, a $.50 manufacturer coupon doubles to $1.00, and so on. Since you can print six, they are now allowing you to use all six in one day.
So those of you who have been unable to get the coupon doublers in your area, head over and print now!

Oh..thank you for the heads up. I have been so jealous of your postings…now I can play too.
I am happy with the manner in which Jewel chose to redeem themselves after the initial confusion.
Jewel shines again!
THAT is awesome. They were super nice about the problem last night – which was such an odd thing I can’t even describe the whole thing. And everything was resolved fast, once they figured out what went wrong.
Way to go JEWEL!
So….the people who were unable to get the coupons from the Sunday paper, now have a whole day to play???? I appreciate that they are trying to fix the problem, but I still don’t think this cuts the mustard.
Two sets, does that mean 10 doubler coupons?
How does Jewel track the “5 per day”? Is it linked to your preferred card? I’d like to use more than 5 doubles seeing that I only have one day to play (I’m in sad Plainfield)but I have 3 computers. What about visiting 3 times in one day? Any thoughts?
I just used 15 total today. 5 right after the other with 2 of my kids. So if you have any kids, bring them with and they can each do 5.
@Matt — you can print two sets of three.
@JoAnn — it is not tracked on your card. With the printables, you can use six per person — and it says that on the new ones. Some stores are enforcing the limits, some are not.
@Tina M — I absolutely agree that they handled it wrong (and I posted about it yesterday). However, I also think that the fact that a company as large as SuperValu got their act together to listen to customer complaints and throw together the printables within two days is a good thing. It’s not as good as having done it right originally, but it’s about as good as you’re going to get other than turning back time and having a do-over.
I think that every time smething like this happens & a company handles it this way it just helps the store in regard to public opinion & goodwill. I had two thoughts when I read this. (Well actually the first thought was Holy Crap!) I thought bravo to Jewel & I thought back to the Dominicks expired like Rachel said. I think it’s great the way it was handled.
This may be a dumb question, but with these twice the value coupons, can I use them at any jewel store?
Thanks!
Yup!
YAY! Thanks!
How cool of them to do this! I’m sure there are still going to be people complaining, though. Kudos to Jewel for trying to make it right!
I finally got over to Jewel today to use some double coupons. Brought two of my sons so I could use 15 in one trip. I talked to Cust. Serv. about using 10 of them in one transaction (5 me, 5 my son)so I could get the buy 10 items get $5 off deal. I had told them the coupon states 5 per person, not 5 per transaction. They were fine with it, did not even hesitate. I bought 10 jars of pickles. I handed my pickle coupons and the 5 doubles to the cashier, she rang those through and then my son gave her his. The cust. serv. person just had to approve each of the 5 my son gave on the register. For $2.16 I got 10 jars of pickles and 5 4pks. of Activa Yogurt.
My Jewel would not accept the printables tonight. They received no word from corporate about them and assumed they were fraudulent. I wasted my time…
Uggggh. Call corporate. I’m so sorry that happened.
what store was it, if you don’t mind answering?
This was in Frankfort.
I’m just thinking: I sure hope Jewel lets every store in the state know about this, because this could mean headaches for many people if the stores are not aware of this special “treat”…
