Things to know at Dominick’s

Just a few things to know:

  1. Dominick’s does not let you use a coupon on the “free” item in a buy one, get one free sale. They also have now decided that they won’t let you use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale to get both items for free.
  2. Many Dominick’s will only let you use one OYNO Catalina per transaction. Most no longer take Catalinas or  Register Rewards from other stores unless they are for a specific item. Their official policy says no.
  3. Sign up for Just for U for additional e-coupons and “personalized savings.” You can no longer use paper coupons with JFU e-coupons. Although sometimes they randomly go through.
  4. Just for U common questions and answers here.
  5. Link to whatever the current coupon policy might be, here.
  6. If you shop at Safeway, Vons, Genuardi’s, or another Safeway affiliate, your prices may differ from those shown here, but Catalina deals are 90% the same. Dominick’s in Illinois no longer allows the stacking of manufacturer e-coupons with paper manufacturer coupons, and neither do many Safeways — they’re phasing it out as they roll out Just for U in your area.
  7. Dominick’s, unlike Jewel, gives individual stores tremendous leeway about coupon policies, so you will not see consistency between stores, and not all stores follow the official policy.

Welcome back! I don’t see the Honey Bunches coupon, even in 90210. Gone already?

    2. rachel says:

I still see it — did you print it already for the earlier deals on HBO a couple weeks ago? (If so it should show up on the last page of coupons.com as already printed.)

    3. sherri says:

There is also a $1/1 4-pack activia in the Feb. AY

    4. Lpmousse says:

I scrolled to my second page of the JFU offers, and found a couple of freebies with $10 purchases- 1.25 L bottle of Coke Zero and Fresh Express Salad Blends 5-12 oz. Cool!

      • Christine says:

make sure you check your receipt when you have those free items. I bought the coke and salad and it did not come off. It was too exasperating to work with CS because they did not want to give it to me. I don’t go to Dominick’s any longer because of this. Watch your receipt.

    5. Sherri says:

The fb coupon for Van’s waffles has ended

    6. Amanda R. says:

Has anyone else noticed their Just for U deals are skimpier than at previous times, both in terms of number of deals and duration of personalized price? I’m just wondering if it is just me or if they are scaling back? I used to have a lot of personalized prices that lasted for a couple months, but now that the latest batch of them have expired it seems the longest I have are for just over a week or so. Any info would be appreciated :) Thanks!

    7. Heather says:

I had a free Kashi steamer meal in my JFU today!

    8. Donna K says:

Just found out yesterday that the Dominicks at Rt 59 and Barrington Road is closing! Shelves were almost bare. This one stings, since it’s the only Dominicks that I routinely pass in a normal weekly commutes.

    9. lifelongwalk says:

Re: Spice Islands hangtags – Crystal Lake Jewel also has some for $1 off eggs wyb Spice Islands.

    10. Lisa says:

I went today for the cheese and milk and neither price came off my JFU price. So went to CS and the lady tried to tell me that limit two meant per customer per week. WTH? I argued with her and said I’ve never had a problem. She let me buy my 6 gallons of milk, but I had to return two of the four cheeses I bought. Obnoxious.
