Here are the best Ultra Foods coupon matchups and deals I see for the week of 1/5/12

I’m using the Lombard version of their ad (valid for Lombard, Downers Grove, Wheaton, Hanover Park), so note that pricing can vary between stores, particularly on the extreme value meat deals and sometimes on the cereal deals. Check your own store’s ad to verify.

The prices here on things like Go-Gurt and Nature Valley are good — you could, say, wait for Sunday’s coupons for the granola bars. Buy four granola bars, four Go-Gurt, and 2 fruit snacks, all $1.49 each. Use two $.85/2 go-gurt, two $.75/2 Nature Valley, and a $.50/2 fruit snacks. That brings you to $11.20 after coupons with $2.00 back or a net cost of $9.20 for all ten items.

Since we were doing the math on these this morning, let’s assume 8.25% sales tax, bringing you up to $7.45. Minus $.25 coupon = $7.20. 16 double rolls equates to 32 regular rolls, making it 22.5 cents a regular roll.
• Buy $25 participating P&G products in one transaction and get a free Duracell instant USB charger by mail. Forms in store. Shows teeny tiny logos of all the participating products, but they should also be listed on form.
• Bayer Advanced, $2.00. Use $1.50/1 in the 1/1 SS or 10/23 RP. Use exp. $2.00/1 in the 9/11 RP and it’s free.
• Degree deodorant, $.98. Use exp. $.25/1 in the 11/13 RP.

Things to know at Ultra

At many Ultras, Catalinas will NOT print at the self-checkouts, so use the registers. Ultra accepts expired manufacturer coupons back 30 days; they do not accept expired store coupons. View the Ultra coupon policy here (click on your local store from this link and it will come up). They now accept manufacturer Catalinas from other stores; however, they will not accept Register Rewards from Walgreens.

Some Ultras will give you a $.05 credit for each reusable bag you bring in and use, so be sure to mention them to your cashier.
